An emoticon chess board
. Something i've been working on in school now. i was planning on doing another piece of work but then my friend forced me to play chess with him. so this is where this came from.....-----
King: emote holding sword
Queen: Crowned emote
bishop: emote holding cross
knight: emote holding shield
rook: turret hatted emote
pawn: simple looking emote

im also planning on doing an OC emoticon chess board. so please note me if you want to be added.
Also i didn't want to include all chess pieces as the board would be too full
also i did not want to add mouths because normal chess pieces dont have them it was a bit of a stretch with the eyes 
. i only added a mouth to one to make him look more of a dummypoor little hanging white piece
edit: shaded the outline of the emotes a bit darker so they stand out a bit more on the corresponding coloured tile.

Emoticon Chess Board and Guitar Hero in the same day?! You did quite well with this, the arrangement, proportions and distinctions between the chess pieces do give it an authentic feel, while still clearly evident is the crazy emoticon design, Great work Pixacious, truly something different.

I love how well shaded this is! I wonder if adding shadows would add anything to the piece, but they really aren't needed. This looks really awesome.

i have tried the shadows but they do not seem to work, they just make the chess board look a bit disoriented. Although i will be changing some parts of the piece
