i've actually never seen the anime, my cousin wanted me to do a picture from a magazine he had i thought it looked cool and was giving my wacom tablet a test shot so i was happy with how it came out...Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean, you mean the colored version looks like my drawn piece? or that my drawn piece looks like the image i took it from out of a magazine?

fantastic linework and good colouring, on the hands and understhirt. Though on the coat/hat/pants i'm liking the shades...and also at the same time saying it could be better. I'm guess you used burn.dodge tool or something around that nature correct? i would suggest going in and using a low opacity brush with the selected colours to add more depth that burn/dodg/etce could not.

You're right, i did use only dodge and burn on the coat and hat. I too am unsatisfied with the result and will be Submitting an updated version sometime later this week as i will be adding more depth to those areas as you suggested. I'll probably end up making this a wallpaper as well.
