NOTE- Moved to Scraps.At this point, I think everyone has seen these photos of the Walmart posters and/or they've been recreated and reposted to the moon and beyond. These posters are NOT my work, I claim no ownership, copywrite, or responsibility. They're just amature photos of awesome, amazing, absolutely incredible posters. my goal was just to give everyone a chance to see and enjoy them.
The other three beautiful posters were designed by AllSpark Forums user Nayuki-[link] This map, however, was designed by some other extremely talented and wholly awesome artist! If I find out who it is, I will post the info here.

Is the train station for Canterlot in the mountain itself. Β That's gotta be at least a 3,000 foot elevation change, how do they get the rails up there?

Perhaps the city itself is located closer to sea level, but the palace is higher in elevation. The city of La Paz, Bolivia may have an altitude difference of that much.

Thanks, this should really help get further by building my own map based on the original. I am georeferring this map onto a real map with the Mercator drawing coordinates. Some locations like Vanhouwer and Manehattan locations are really similar to their real world original locations. You high resolution map really helped me out in start since the map does not get much pix-elated with the previous version when I zoom in. The problem with the small one is then the that the picture gets too much warped since the locations do not really match-up (I get that the cannon map does not have scale but I needed a real solution). Also I it is to say that according to the my way of georefering Baltimare (which in real world is Baltimore) is actually Houston in real world since Horseshoe bay is gulf of Mexico and so does not match the real world. But hey I can at least tell anyone exactly where Ponyville and Canterlot is located in real life on the North America Continent according to this way of drawing. But let me ask you a personal question: Do you think Equestria is really the size of North America or do you think it is bigger?

Back in the Christmas Special, when I heard the Earth Ponies' original name for Equestria ("Earth"), I thought Equestria could be the name of the whole planet. Then again, if the ponies ponies had to migrate because of the Windigos, how did they can travel to another planet? I think Equestria is the equivalent to the USA in the ponies world. Just look at the places:
+ Applewood (Hollywood)
+ Los Pegasus (Los Angeles)
+ Fillydelphia (Philadelphia)
+ Manehatten (Manhattan = New York)
+ Hollow Shades (Sleepy Hollow)
+ Baltimare (Baltimore)
+ Neighagra Falls (Niagara Falls)
With this, I think the series should show other parts of the ponies' world; which it would be easy to identify:
+ From the Christmas Special, I guess the original land from where "the three tribes" lived was the equivalent of Europe. The Pegasus could live in the equivalent of Greece (obviously), the unicorns in zones like England and the Earth Ponies in most of the places, I guess.
+ Zecora's homeland is obviously the equivalent of Africa.
+ Dragons could be ruling their own land, possibly the equivalent of China.
Don't you think I'm right?
