Description First pass at a new Praetorian tech mapset. Though several elements (blast doors, forcefield storage rooms, etc.) made it into the final version, the overall grates-and-dirty-metal theme was discarded in favor of a "clean-room" approach.

Looking back, it would have been awesome to have both the clean-room and grunge textures, with the clean-room aspect being the 'public' face of the tileset, where a Potempkin-village work environment was maintained to preserve the image of the superiority of Praetoria, while the grunge aspect would be used for the parts of facilities where the things that most people weren't cleared to see -- for example, the facilities where the Ghouls were processed, places where failed experiments (or too-successful ones) were hidden away to rot, or bulk storage of materials before being repackaged and delivered up to the public side.

Agree with Gearsmith there. While the iLab look is -perfect- for Praetoria, I hope to see a steel and grime version sometime.

Though I love the 'clean room' look you went with in the end, I hope this "grates-and-dirty-metal theme" gets revisited in the future. (Possibly for a different faction.)
