The splash page was for a site call 'Purehybrid', and it was a november issue. I think now they close the site and change it to non-portal website. Not sure when they will releasing it again.
BTW, regarding to the handwritten, actually it is one of my favorite font.

While I don't like the bright green so much, I do realize this was for a splash page, so I must ignore it.
The first thing I notice is your pixel people. Excellent job on these. Most pixel people are all the same size, and while this is just fine, you went the extra distance and made kids look like kids and adults look like adults. Do you have a .PSD file I could look at to see how you put them together?
I like the building, the little tables inside the fenced-in area, and the piece as a whole. It's a very well done pixel piece with great shading/highlighting, good depth, and nice color usage.

this indeed would make an impressive splash page. the detail is great, as usual. and the little actions that the characters are put into makes it all the more lively.

Great pixel work! It has an eboy-ish flavor that's delicious in this scene.
My only gripes here are that the plants that surround the palm trees don't look too well (irregular and not drawn in the same style as the rest) and that the snooker table is *too* small (unless those are two grown-ups playing on a "kid's edition snooker table"
