The Vocaloid Series is a computer program that synthesizes singing in Japanese. It hasn't really come to American yet, but I was really surprised with the amount of people that recognized who I was at Otakon!This costume was all made by me. I actually based the design of this costume from the resin statue coming out of Hatsune Miku. I really loved how it looked like a shiny silver material for the top and went with that - I just had some fun with this design!
The sleeves and headphones actually do light up - I tend to wear this costume in evenings at conventions since you can't see it well in the daylight.
Let me clarify: I put together light-up sleeves and headphones MYSELF. I did not buy them that way.

yeah sure! I got it from a seller on Ebay called "Cosplaywig". I bought it when I had first got really excited to cosplay as this character, but later realized the wig really probably is too green. But it was sooo pretty and expensive that I used it anyways, and I just made sure the fabric I used matched the wig color. I was pretty happy with how it looks actually - the pigtails just tangle a little bit here and there, but the quality is wonderful.

Yeah a lot of people are doing it! But I had originally planned to do because not that many people in the U.S. had done it, then it was just popping up everywhere, but I did anyways since I had the materials already.
I actually ran out of time to make my leek (I am horrible with saving time to make props for my stuff), so I ordered one, and it came like a month and a half later ><
