I decided to re-make this costume completely for my first time attending a Mexican convention as a cosplay guest. I had a lot of fun using my new skills, and I think the result of this one definitely shows how much I have improved since 2004! The gradient dying made this costume a lot more difficult than I had planned.I tried to get every detail right - each feather was hand colored by me, the skirt, headband, gloves, boots and coat all have their respective gradients - even the ruffles have a purple-to-white gradient going on! For some odd reason, I felt the incredible urge to bead the headband in the room before wearing it. You can't even see it in photos though!

Thanks a lot! This is my second time making the costume - I made it several years ago when I was just starting out in cosplay. It was a lot of fun giving it another try after I had more costume experience!

i always loved the colors in this rikku design. you did a beautiful job with this, and i cant believe how much work you did with the gradients! it really looks beyond top notch!
