I finally completed this beast of a costume. I am not sure wheter to put it under textiles or sculpting. 0_o This thing was insane I made pretty much everything you see on it..and I was VERY picky about each detail as to make it as close as possible to the original design. This has been a dream work of mine for quite some time, so it's really excited to finally be able to create it.The tights were hand painted, and I even carved each nail and hand painted that is attached to the glove. It took a lot of handsewing and tailoring to get the dress to fit me correctly, and to have the weird puffy sleeves and shoulders like the design. I don't think i have ever done so much grueling handsewing on one costume before!

I'm helping a friend of mine with an Ultimecia costume for SC09, and I have to ask: did you dye the ends of the sleeves purple, and if so, where did you go to get your fabric dye? We have everything else figured out; it's just that one obnoxious detail.

- It was annoying to get through doorways and crowds, becuase I couldn't really see the horns on my head to see how much space I needed.
- It took me only a month or so, becuase I had to make it really fast after a convention...because the convention I was wearing it to was just a month after that one. I think I may have started on the horns the month before though.

Oh. My. God. You seriously ROCK as Ultimecia. I hang out a lot at cosplay.com (mru, since I wuv cosplayin' as well) but I have never seen such a great Ultimecia cosplay. The headpiece, the wings, the fabrics you used. And for some reason your face really resembles hers.

I actually accidentally ran into some of your costumes on...somewhere, I can't recall. I was looking for examples of Edea cosplays (considering doing Edea for Anime Central 2007) and I think yours was one of the best I've seen! Looks difficult though, I don't know if I would have the patience.
