This is my Terra Brandford costume from the video game Final Fantasy 6. I made this costume a little over a year ago, and I put a lot of time and detail into it. There was lot of hand beading and coloring of fabrics involved.I really love how the boots came out! The boots were originally knee-high zip up boots that I seriously altered.
For some odd reason though, everytime I wear this costume and see a full-body photo....it makes my arms look disproportionatly long compared to my legs...! I'm thinking it's the red arm sleeve things?! For example, in this picture, it looks like if I stood up, my arms would touch the bottoms of my feet!! lol!

Yeah, the arm things are distorting proportions. You'd have to find a way to make your legs look longer... shorten the skirt maybe, and higher heels? It's a real stumper.

Yeah, there's just not much you can do. The costume is so top heavy! It still looks great, though, and the details are fantastic.I especially love what you did with the shoes. AMAZING.

Thats a good thing, Terra is really lanky and almost disproportionate in the original Amano illustrations.

Wowo.it must been hell to alter those boots for getting the perfect Terra style.
The costume is just so perfect that is inspiring in any way posible. You look gorgeous, the costume looks amazing and you give me the perfect excuse to make a Terra costume for the next Animecon.

OMG...you used the Yoshitaka Amano style...I love you forever and you are GOD. *0* Major props to you for pulling off the wonderfully melting colors and patterns that Mr. Amano always manages to work out...DAMN, I can't even form a coherent sentence because it's so awesome!

I love buying clothes and tearing them apart to alter them into what I want! I've destroyed a designer vest and jacket for costumes.

It does make your arms look long but its a wounderful Terra cosplay. She is my favorite Final fantasy game girl. Wounderful work on the costume.
