Orbs-Her orbs can mold into any shape she wants, from stepping stones to a sword to a shield.  How many orbs Moon can summon depends on her self-confidence-when she is winning a battle she becomes stronger, however when she is loosing her confidence is shot down, and her weapons grow weaker and weaker, until she can’t summon any orbs altogether.

Right now, as she’s extremely new to her new orb thing (as up until fairly recently she was solely being used for her future sight abilities rather than being thrown into battle) so she can only summon one basic weapon and a small shield at a time.  She can somewhat control her ability to create platforms but its shaky, and they have a habit of collapsing in midair.

She just needs to practice a biitttt more.

Future Sight

While Moon’s offensive attacks are shaky, she is practically a prodigy in her gift of future sight.  She has the ability to zone out, her eyes glowing purple, and see multiple pathways of things that could happen.  However, as Moon was using her power practically all the time, she grew almost a sixth sense, and can immediately feel out which pathway is the true vision of the future.

Well, most of the time.  We all mistakes, and Moon is no exception.  Her perfect streak has been broken a few times, and usually with disastrous results.

Ever since crash-landing on earth her future sight powers have become a lot more fuzzy.  While she used to be able to see things crystal clearly, she now can only see fragments and pieces, and has to rely a lot more on her sense of intution and judgement to make the right call.  Which, considering the fact that her confidence is -5 right now, is next to impossible.

Hence why she mainly is forced to rely on her wits and her orbs for her battles, only using future sight for a last resort.

{ P e r s o n a l i t y }

Moon is sort of like the worry-some, overprotective mother of her friends.  She is calm and polite, always have an air of maturity and responsibility around her.  She is empathetic and caring, fiercely loyal to her friends.  She’ll be the one who will be there with the box of tissues and chicken noodle soup, and will stay a good three hours listening to you sob and rant, and just nod quietly and comfort you.  Her presence itself is comforting, and she acts as the mediator when there is conflicting opinions.  She also is incredibly naive, and has a habit of believing everything people say, taking it far too literally.

However, while Moon is incredibly selfless, she suffers from serious self-confidence issues, mainly due to the HUGE mistake that banished her from the Homeworld.  While she is always nice and lovely to others, she is her own harshest critic, and will beat herself up for the littlest things when people aren’t looking.

This is part of the reason why she is struggling so hard to control her weapon, as its directly linked to her self-confidence, which is currently extremely low.  As she explores earth and comes to terms with her new life, its slowly building up again, but its going to take a lot of encouragement from her friends, and belief in herself and her abilities.

{ H i s t o r y }

Moon was born back on the Homeworld, and immediately the other gems could tell she was...different.  How she knew exactly when to dodge falling plants and debris, catch falling cups off of tables, avoid cracks or collisions.

Moon soon found out that she possessed future sight.  And the Gems who ran the Homeworld’s ruling system found out too.

After much testing, Moonstone was put as a part of the Gem protection program, a bunch of Gems who had future sight who would be stationed at the Homeworld’s headquarters, using future sight to predict and prevent any natural disasters, such as incoming comets, structurally unstable buildings and unwanted visitors.

They were basically slaves to the Homeworld, in a way.  But Moonstone didn’t really mind, she was so brainwashed with the beautiful buildings and atmosphere of her birthplace that she was more than happy to do her “civic duty”.  And so that was how the little gem spent out her years for the next hundred years or so-she grew to be an established, veteran member of the program, who was very proud of her perfect prediction streak.  She was considered in high regard by her worshipped superiors, she was protecting the world that she loved, and she even got free meals and a cute uniform.

Things were perfect.  Well, for a while anyway.  As the thing about things being perfect is that they tend to go downhill very very fast.

In all due respect, Moon was feeling a bit tired that day.  So when she used her future sight, and one of the visions she received was a huge comet hurtling towards the Homeworld, destroying a good portion of the Western City, she didn’t take much note of it.  She didn’t bother to notify anyone either, her sixth sense telling her that the possibility of that happening was a “one in a million” chance, and happily went off on her lunch break.

One meteor plummeting into Homeworld later, and Moon realized that she had made a very very grave oversight.  And, as she was the only Gem on duty before the meteor hit, her superiors put two and two together and punished her by banishing her from the Homeworld through one of the conviently newly-opened portals to Earth.

Moon was heartbroken.  She aimlessly wandered the desert, scared and alone, wanting to so be back on the Homeworld she loved so much, but was forced to make a completely new life.

She was pretty sure that there was no one else on Earth besides her.  Until, by a string of fate, she met another gem named Druzy, who enthusiastically told her about the Crystal Gems, and, through many persistent pretty-pleases, convinced her to join.

+tea (raspberry peach is her favorite)

+soap operas

+nighttime

+cats (she tends to take in stray cats, much to Druzy’s horror)

-pranks (she doesn’t really get “jokes” and the purpose of them)

-fortune-telling machines (they’re just sCAMS)

-parties and other loud places

-dogs (they scare her, one tried to bite her when she first arrived at beach city)

“Moonstone is said in crystal healing to help calm responses and stress, and avoid overreaction. It brings hope, enhances  feminine energies, sensitivity, intuition, and psychic abilities. It is also said to bring strong energies of abundance to one's life.  Moonstone is a stone of protection, especially during childbirth, pregnancy, and travel at sea. It is a stone of calm and relief from emotional stress. It is also associated with love of all kinds.”

Theme song-www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF1ek8…

Her fusion music is orchestral and her dance style is ballroom dance.

*Her current partner is Druzy Q , and the two of them have worked out some sort of peaceful little coexistence, as Druzy boosts Moon’s morale and Moon keeps Druzy tethered to the ground.

*Moon’s powers are the fullest under a full moon, and get an extra little boost when she battles at night.

*Her transformation skills are shaky, as she never really used them before, but she can transform into a ferret and a dove.

*She also has healing properties that she isn’t aware of, but they come and go, and she hasn’t really devoted any time to exploring them yet.

*She is a great gem to fuse with, as she will usually be passive and supportive, while she lets the other take over.  Her fusions typically are very stable, as she is able to get along with so many people.

*She wears her heart on her sleeve and blushes really easily (you can see it on her white skin).

*She is a hopeless romantic, being very curious with Earth people’s dating rituals and concept of affection, as there is really none of it on the Homeworld.

*She still misses the Homeworld greatly, and still praises it constantly to her Earthbound gem companions, who typically give her looks of confusion and pity.
