Lovely shapes, the drawing is pretty solid!
When it comes to the painting part, I think you could push the hues a bit. Especially in the shadows. Think about it like this; if you have warm lights, the shadows will be cooler and vice versa. Also you're using a lot of the same value all over the character. The same pattern of value is the same all throughout the image. If you take an object and light it, you'll have more of a gradient of value. You can use light to your advantage when it comes to vocalpoints too! In this case, having the light follow the eye to the helmet might be good.

I hope that make sense and that you find it helpful.

Love your work!

Thanks for the advice, so you mean using cooler colors and tones in the shady areas? Also with this image the same hues comes from the base imagine being a black a white shading practice I did, I then added color to it with an overlay layer as a last minute thing. Ive also found these days that I learn better visually from tutorials and images so I will look these points yup.

Crap. I forgot about replying to you! So sorry!
Yes. Cooler hue in shadows. If you have warm light, keep the shadows cooler and if you have cool light, use warm shadows. Hue shifts in shading makes things more lively.
