Diglett's simple in design, so there are little details to discuss. It's cute, anyway. My theory for the claws was that diglett can move them so fast that nobody ever actually sees them. Guess it would look sort of abnormal for an animal to have just its head emerge from the ground (definitely if it's as simple as diglett).
The discussion on dugtrio makes me want to see one now. I wait with baited breath.

My friend and me decided that Diglett in the game looked a lot like a potato, but this is a better thing then what we came up with
