Still can't draw canines, but despite the head, this one turend out pretty good for being made by me
Not much to say here... I guess mightyenas would be all over rather wolf-ish? The spot under the eye could be for shadowing the eyes, or maybe to confuse attackers like fearows. The "mane" could be some kind of ranking-symbol, and also help when picking out a mate.

You say you're not good at drawing canines.
I say that for that very reason, this is probably the best piece of mightyena fanart I've seen, on the grounds that it's the only one I've ever seen that actually looks like a hyena.
For some reason, people look at something that practically has the word 'hyena' in its name and think "you know, I bet this was meant to be a wolf!"
Don't sell yourself short on the head either. It's what sells the image. The roundish eyes, short, blunt snout and blocky forehead are what tell me that yes, this is a realistically depicted mightyena.

I think the mighyenas are supposed to be hyena inspired, which aren't canines at all. (Hence the "yena" suffix") Though they do look much more like wolves.

Pretty sweet mightyena. I'd have to agree with the ones who say it's head is a little blocky, but besides that, well done. As for the identity, mightyena's appearance is pretty darn close to that of a brown hyena. I don't know if you made the choice to not make it one or not, but I just wanted to put that out.

What I like about this is that in real life, this pokemon can look exactly the same as it did in the cartoon, and still be awesome. It kinda looks like an evil version of my dog.

The head does looks a little bit off - I think that's something easy to fix though, for future reference. It's merely the brow - too square, and too blocky/wide. Shrink it down some and give it a curve along where the skull should be, and it'll look fine!
Awesome Mightyena realism, the fur shading is great. I really like the idea of them being wolfish too, and the bit about the "mane" being a show of rank. Someone could use that to make a great Mightyena character, with a super long ruff. x3
