Description
I always thought Sunset would make a very powerful fire mage, because color scheme...Alas, I can't get her aura color to work here, so I took some liberty. Title is after a unit ability in Dawn of War - Soul Storm.Β

It's Black Friday, and Sunset's burning a path through everything to get the sweetest deals first.Β

This could if this is what the adversary sees upon seeing Sunset survive an attackΒ
that should have killed her, and even more powerful than before.
Fits with this music piece:Β Link

Her eyes are blueish . . . so wouldn't it work if the inner part of the phoenix-flame-head-thingie was tinged blue?? Blue IS the hottest flame there is, after all. At least, next up from what's already there, I mean.

Thanks for your comment! Actually I was pretty determined to have a red-yellow color scheme here, putting a lot of turquoise (Sunset's iris/magic aura color) in may disrupt this scheme, but I think I will definitely give it a shot later. So thanks again for the input!

What I would suggest is a very deep, dark blue right where the reds get at their darkest, especially inside the pheonix-head, and very, very faint whisps and bits of blue where the color is lightest. Reflect her usual magic (since ponies magic generally matches their eye color) but still keep the fire-esque theme.

Your welcome! I'm always happy to help. I'm not so great at the big-time critiquing, but I catch smaller details fairly easily. *shrugs*

Quite intense and genuinely fitting.
For some reason the way you drew Sunset with the fire Phoenix's head in front of her while she's charging full speed reminded me metaphorically of Jean Grey unleashing the Phoenix.

Excelleeeeeeent! Tilting her planted hoof forward is all that pose needs. As is, it being so flat against the ground kind of makes it look like she's posing, as opposed to chargi--

Thanks for the advice! Although I do remember the hooves always being flat when touching the ground during a horse's gallop, I'll be sure to try it some time.
