I was just trying this "looming" cameral angle, and it seems to work.The hardest part in this: the hippogriff in the foreground, as generally pegasus-like silouettes are hard to make read. His/her pose could be vital for story telling but I was too lazy to work on it any any futher.

I think you pulled the hippogriff pose off just fine. Reads well for me.
Great job with the palette and angle and maintaining the coherence of the shapes even so. That tornado is wonderful over on the right.
