I looked the Crayola stuff. I think I'm using a knock-off version of the same stuff here in Korea. Is the Crayola stuff water-soluble i.e. does water melt or affect it? This stuff is softened by water, acrylic paint will not dry on it, and resinous spray coats break off like a candy shell. I'm just curious about finding a better material.

The Model Magic I use doesn't do any of what you've mentioned earlier. Maybe it's really a knock-off version. Another material you could try is Fimo. But it requires baking for it to hardened.
