Iris, an octarian scientist and bane of Emerald's existence.

Iris was one of the first results of the genetic experiment that was deemed a success however Iris turned out to be extremely smart, dangerously so. So to appease her she was given a scientist role to express her "creativity." She ended up experimenting on captured inklings including Emerald, in which most of them died horrible deaths. After her lab was destroyed Iris vanished, around the same time, Pluto started to get blueprints of an arm bracer signed by an Iris and the device in his chest, Iris later admits she had put that in when Pluto fell. Then Iris fell into the Metro where she meet Tartar. She was given another lab and the sanitized octarians as subjects some time later she met Emerald again, Tartar captured Emerald and dropped him at Iris' lab. Iris had been helping Jackson with the Thangs and she wanted to see her subjects again, to fix her mistakes. This was her chance. Tartar ended up tricking Iris in the end though, having her partly sanitize Emerald before Tartar took control after his statue was destoryed. Emerald nearly killed Iris but was stopped by Snowflake, Jackson and Pluto. After Emerald was defeated Iris worked on various experiments in attempt to reverse the sanitation, she was successful and used the first batch on Pluto as a test.
