Nice Technique though. It would be nice, IMO, if the crackle was used as a much more subtle texture though.
btw, is it incredibly slow to render crackle? I seem to remember is being a slug.

RIDICULOUSLY slow!
It took six hours on my grandmother's computer for a print sized render, it usually takes about 1 and a half.

That's a good reason it has never made it into the official releases. It seems I have a penchant for creating oddball but extremely slow variations. Crackle is nowhere near the slowest, either
