Or a Mechwarrior/Battletech Warhammer, I believe. Though FASA basically got sued for using various Macross/Robotech mechs. But I felt the Mechwarrior/Battletech use of them was much better.

No, i made a mistake, it's a Destroid Defender (always from Macross)
The "Spartan" has got hands.
I know Mechawarrior, i have bought my first Battetech boardgame twenty years ago perhaps but i was a bit disapointed, i prefer the Macross universe.

Mechwarrior/Battletech has some pretty interesting mech designs. Nothing as kinetic as Macross/Robotech but they always seemed to make more sense. The Classic MW/BT mechs are pretty dated, but newer ones, made mostly for video games, look and work a lot better. Although some of classic mechs work better in the games as well.

After the original Macross Saga, I really stopped liking those mechs. They started getting very derivative.

I'm not trying to have a "which is better" MW/BT or Macross/RT, I'm just saying which I personally prefer more.
