Description
It's Autumn in what will be known as the year 145 B.C.E. The location is somewhere in Central Europe. After a long and arduous journey, the chieftain of a village has managed to find the last water spirit remaining in his land and gives her an offering to add to her watery sanctuary. The original is 3 feet by 1.5 feet, so it was a pain to scan in. I apologize for any minor inconsistencies that I couldn't fix from the scanning.
I'm glad I finally managed to create this picture, it was inside of me for a LONG time.

Wow, Theres some real Celtae Gaels as they would have been. Awesome sourcing. You must be a serious historian.

I can't believe how I've always missed checking this beautiful piece out! It's one of your best, the composition, the expressions, the inkwork, everything. And even though it's amazing in your intricate linework, I can see it look good in colour as well. (I'm putting this one on my little mental list of colouring jobs, if that's alright! I enjoyed the last collaboration so much.)

I would LOVE it if you wanted to color this someday. It would be incredible! I'm glad you like it, it's a favorite of mine. I guess it's a little buried in my gallery.

Cool, glad to have the thumbs up from you! Hopefully I'll get the time soon enough, it'd be so much fun. And I don't know how I didn't see this one before! Perhaps you could make use of the new gallery system, by dividing your art into folders for easier browsing? One mythology, one history or whatnot.

Thanks for the tip on the new gallery system, that's cool. I just reorganized my gallery. I hope you get some free time soon so that I can once again see one of my pictures come to life.

I really like your gallery folders! And yes, I hope too I get free time, simply to get any art at all done. Time-consuming school just ain't cool these days.

Yeah, itΒ΄s really fascinating...I hope I can repress the association to that damn report one day, it stressed me so.

great details as always. tattoos on her feet, her sword half-immersed in water, the fetish by the tree on the left, the flora on the backgroud... not even mentioning the details on characters. nice work and story, congratulations again.

Awesome. I love it. The last water spirit, meaning you must be saying that they are vanishing maybe cause the onset of Christianity?
And wow, thats huge size for a drawing.

Glad you like it, this one took a while. As for the meaning of the story, I'll leave that up to you guys. 145 BCE is a little early for Christianity, but then again you could argue that the stage was being set...
As for the size, it was nice to be able to work on such a large piece of board but things like the border take three tiimes as long!

Thanks! As for the mane, in my defense, that is a historically accurate representation...but I can see why it cracks you up.

As long as it's historically accurate...nothing we can do about that is there?
