The first one.
A few months ago I caught it right as it was beginning on one of the movie channels. Fortunately it was in English, with Korean subtitles of course. Then I watched it again on YouTube so I could watch parts of it again or slowly etc (bullet time!).
I wasn't into the Matrix at all when it first came out; I just didn't get it. Actually, it comes from "Dib's the hero; 'Dib's the one' the series is about." (They do share the same taste in dramatic black trench coats! 
I know I've said something like this before, but in "The Nightmare Begins," WHOSE nightmare IS it? The other kids don't know, Gaz knows but doesn't care, the Professor doesn't know OR care, and Zim calls everything a "Victory for ZIM!"
Therefore Dib's the one.

Interesting...I was wondering what the inspiration was - for a while, I kept reading your name as "Dib Scythe 1". I have no idea why.
The original Matrix never gets old.
To be honest, I think the nightmare started for Zim also. Dib has always been ridiculed for his paranormal claims, so nothing really changed for him. Being sent down to a planet of which 70% of its surface is covered in a substance that can kill you on contact, having a completely insane robot that destroys your own base, not having the backing of your superiors (regardless if he realizes it or not) and for all intents and purposes considered very low on the human social totem pole seems like a nightmare to me. (This is a bad run-on sentence I know.)
But, on the other hand, Dib has to deal with Gaz. So I'd say they're about even.
