(This image SUCKS and I need to make a new one! Leave a comment on whether I should draw a new Mew or another pokemon of your suggestion!)Betcha weren't expecting this! -shot-
My attempt at 'realism'. +a tribute to an old obsession of mine: Pokemon! Gotta catch 'em all~!
Riiight. Umm... I couldn't find ANY refs for Mew's little bubble, so I made it up as I went along. Also, I've only attempted this style once or twice in the past with rather disappointing results. I'm /really/ happy with how this came out.
Background = SPACE. ... Uhh.. Tried a different style for the stars. Made 'em all... weird. But I like it. And you should, too! -bribes wif cookie-

However, and I can't believe I'm saying this, you are welcome to use it as long as you follow TWO SIMPLE RULES.
A. The watermark in the corner or some other visible credit must be left on the same page/video/whatever(s) the image appears in.
B. You can NOT use it to make money. That's just plain theft and not only will I not be happy, but Mew is a licensed character belonging to Nintendo and I doubt you wanna get in a lawsuit with them over petty image theft.
That being said, lemme know if you use it? Whether as a background, reference, or part of your youtubestuff. I'm just cuuuuurious.

That's a great realistic Mew! He/she looks amazing! I love the eyes and fluffy fur.

Is this fact? Or personal opinion? 'Cause you're stating like it's a fact. In that case, show me.
Otherwise, be sure to hint that it's your personal opinion, just like anyone else who commented and said "I always thought Mew a hamster/gerbil/mouse/etc". 'Cause talking as you have is akin to petting the fur of a cat the wrong way--you usually wind up peeving it.
No where in the entire official Pokemon franchise is Mew's physiology inspiration stated, that I'm aware of. The cards only say "New Species" when describing it. The games and animated series are just as vague.
'Mew' is the sound generally associated with a newborn kitten, of which Mew's antics remind me very much. Disregarding the ears, I am aware Mew most resembles a jerboa.

Obviously, my problem was with you coming in throwing around personal statements as fact. Saying something for no reason other than "just saying"? It's an arrogant action that implies a sense of superiority that, frankly, will only serve to turn a friendly relationship sour fast. This applies both in real life and on the internet.
Until such proof can be pointed out, I'll stand by my opinion that Mew can be whatever the hell the artist wants Mew to be. And even after such proof can be found, I'll still stand by my opinion that Mew can be whatever the hell the artist wants Mew to be. It's called artistic freedom. There are no rules to abide by, except those suggested by common decency.

of course mew can be anything you want to be, i can draw a 5 over over lapping and call it a turtle if i want to! its all about perspective, and i do apologize if i acted that way to you and seemed that way, i'm very sorry, its just how i talk and i will watch how i say thing from now on, and i have found sources that have stated mew was a rat/hamster and wished to inform you just in case

Well, you're still young and learning, so it's understandable.
I can only hope you walk away from this with a better sense of how you say things can come across to others.
The only acceptable "sources" in any matter are those of professional level. One fan saying their opinion is not a source. The official online Pokedex saying Mew is a rodent, however, is. Unfortunately, no Pokedex nor card that I am aware of says anything other than "New Species Pokemon" or a similar line.
