1. Did you take this picture yourself? - yup.
2. How did you manage to capture this picture? - I took this picture whilst flying in a plane through a window.
3. You must have been flying quite high, huh? - Well, I don't think we flew far higher than normal.
4. Are you a pilot / astronaut / angel / alien etc.? - I don't think so

It looks so high up because of the cirrus clouds across the middle of the photo... they really do look like the atmospheric 'bubble' in many shuttle photos. I actually checked this out thinking it was a picture taken from space.

The color is fantastic, especially for being captured through a plane window. The sun decided to give you some love with those shadows, too-- kudos to you on a wonderful picture.

I must admit that I was in disbeleif at first too. It looks like you were on the borderline between sky and space, much higher than most planes fly. But maybe it just looks that way because of the dark sky...It must have been at sunrise/sunset when it was taken right ?

Man! I would like to say, that this picture have been made on a Altitude of about 30 000 meters!!! Only B-52 Bombers fly soo high!
I just can`t trust you that you`ve took that picture from a commercial airlines machine Maybe it`s true but I can`t understand! You were flying in Stratosphere, It`s soo hig that the proportion of the oxygen is too small to fly without a masks...

no motion blur at all, I only do things you could do in the darkroom as well, i.e. levels, contrast, brightness and sharpness
In this one it was just slight level editing!

How do you get that blurring effect though? The clouds seem as though they are blurred a little bit at like a 45 degree angle.

haha i think maybe its just the shadows being cast on clouds below, but look at the cloud all the way on the right near the middle and you can see the streaks coming out below it.
