Hey everybody, how's it going? Another page of Solarshadow and we cut back to the fight at Sage Forest with Solar and Bayonet! Yeah, going to have to wait a bit to find out how things turn out for the Eevee bros but for right now we return to the conflict between these two. Bayonet is continuing her very aggressive style but seems Solar has gotten it figured out and is turning things around. This concept is actually something I see floating around from time to time in fiction and it's a great opportunity to talk about world building, a subject I don't think I've covered too much. Basically the comment usually goes something like this, "In a world where people can fly, characters who can't fly are at a major disadvantage." This does seem to be true but one thing that's commonly overlooked is those who lack that power live in a world with those that do have that power, and as such they would develop techniques, tools, strategies, etc that would allow them to get around this limitation. So here we get some of that with Bayonet using a acrobatic, strength and dexterity based skill to both maneuver herself around the battlefield, while also allowing her to exploit the weaknesses psychics have and play into her strengths. Solar however demonstrates a counter attack to that, which is also something that you'd expect to develop in the world as well. The end result should be a complex arms race with the winner being which of the two can best the other. So far Solar seems to have turned the tables but I guess we'll see how things turn out!
