Hey everybody, hope you guys have been doing well! Here is another piece, this being the official cover for the 1st issue of Solarshadow, depicting the fight between Nymphia and the Centislorch. This will also be used to officially launch the contest, so details about that will be below. Otherwise very happy how this came together, fight scenes are always fun to work with and this was no exception. Little stinger also alludes to the ironic state Akripap city has found itself in. Hope you guys enjoy and more to come!

Contest Details

Officially launching the Cover Art Contest! First thing I'll say is sorry for the delay on that, was hoping to launch this with the start of issue 3 but had some complications prevent that but now we're ready to roll! The contest will be to do something similar to what was done here, create a cover for an issue of Solarshadow. This can be done in a variety of ways, such as depicting a scene from one of the issues, highlighting a character that appears in them, predicting future events, making something stylistic to represent the story, creating a cover for alternate story such as a what-if scenario or your own story featuring these characters and/or setting, create a cover for the original version of the story, etc. Lots of different approaches for this and hope you guys have fun with it! For those who do want to participate,

RULES
* Piece must relate to Solarshadow in some sort of way, using it's characters, setting, story, etc as the focus of the piece. Your own characters, OCs, what-ifs, re imaginings, the reboot or original versions, etc are all valid options.

*Piece is for a cover, so should be in Cover format. Pieces must include the logos, and ideally be in an 8.5 X 11 or similar orientation such as poster format. Wrap around covers however are also permitted. The logos can be found in this post here:

Logos for the Contest

*Cover does not have to be in my art style, any art style is accepted.

*Tagline or Cinematic blurb is not required but highly encouraged such as this one's "Welcome to Akripap City!"

* Symbolic or minimalist covers are accepted but must be clear what they are referencing.

* All entries must be submitted on or before April 30th. Contest officially starts on the 1st but early entries are also allowed.

* Have fun and be creative!

For a point of reference, Issue 1 of Solarshadow spans pages 1-25, Issue 2 spans pages 2-50 and Issue 3 spans pages 51-75. The Supplementary pages (or SUP as they're called) are considered apart of issue 0 and if you want, you can make a cover for them. Cover art for future issues, alternate what-if issues, the original version, a cameo comic with my characters, etc are all acceptable as well.

PRIZES

There will be prizes for the top 3 contestants. On May 1st, voting will begin and be left up to the public to decide who wins. The 3 winners will receive the following prizes:
  1st Place-

    *$75 USD, must have a paypal account to receive this reward as that's the only way I can pay you. Deviantart points can also be given if you'd prefer.

     *You will be gifted a diamond badge from me, granting 1 month Core membership and 300 fragments!

    *The cover will be used as a alternate cover and included among the SUP pages of Solarshadow. You will be credited for your work as well as a shout to out to you with a link to your Deviantart page and any others you wish will be included so any readers of mine will be able to see your page. Some restrictions may come up on this.

    *A cameo appearance for an OC of yours in Solarshadow (some rules on this, will be discussed)!

    *I will make a Free finished Digital art piece for you!

    *Early access to the next page of Solarshadow!

2nd Place-

    *50 USD, must have a paypal account to receive this reward as that's the only way I can pay you. Deviantart points can also be given if you'd prefer.

    *You will be gifted a diamond badge from me, granting 1 month Core membership and 300 fragments!

      *The cover will be used as a alternate cover and included among the SUP pages of Solarshadow. You will be credited for your work as well as a shout to out to you with a link to your Deviantart page and any others you wish will be included so any readers of mine will be able to see your page. Some restrictions may come up on this.

3rd Place-
