Description

Sorry for the delay, I originally planned to release this as one large cut but decided it was to large that way and ended up reworking the panels a bit to make it into a two parter. I don't have a whole lot to say about the page itself, think it speaks for itself really and I think any questions that might come up regarding this page will probably be answered in the following one. This page does however spark the beginning of Chapter 2's finale. I expect big things out of that and the reaction so far has been pretty good, very happy with the responses and comments I have been getting recently, thanks a lot for that. Hopefully that can continue as the finale plays out. Once the Chapter 2 has concluded, I will pick up Shining Consequence again, sorry for those waiting on that series, I expect it to launch again probably mid Novemeber. I also plan to officially reboot Catch me If You Can in January as well as release some updates on my original projects like Cretaceous Isle and Toyarohco: The Local Cat. Hope you guys enjoy what I got and more to come!

First Part: Next part: , Previous Part:

From December 1, 2018- February 28, 2019, I am running a contest revolving around these scenes where you could win up to 1000 points and make a cameo appearance in Shining Consequence! If you're interested, consider entering it. Details can be seen here:

Wow in all of this fighting I forgot all about Tyler and where he’s at!

That will be followed up on in Shining Consequence but the shock wave of that effect had a major impact here as well.

In case you were wondering, I saw the page the day it came out but could not find the time or motivation to comment on it or the last one.

Shadows flashing teeth are the most notable thing to me in this emotial moment, really has a great effect on me. Solars unsure and subduing body language and positioning may be a even greater point from a geenral perspective when it comes to emotion. I really wonder what SHadow means with sefishness thought.

Favourite drawn part is Solar in panel 6 and in the last two panels as well as Shadow in panel 5 and 7. Maybe would have expected Solar more to say, but then again, Shadow the Meddow cut him short. Also, nice to see them having a brotherhood moment, even if it's a negative one. ALso, excited for the final!

Great page!

It's perfectly fine.

These sequences have put these guys in situations they're not used to and pulled them out of their comfort zones quite a bit. Stuff like Solar not being restrained like he usually is due to circumstances, stuff like that.

Ordinarily he probably would say more but he's being yelled at by somebody he cares about and he has never been very aggressive to family members in general either. Plus he got cut off several times too.

Thanks!

Damn. Shadow is pissed. I love Solars expressions throughout the panels.

Mm... to be fair, Solar freaked out over the possibility of losing Tyler.  Doesn't justify what he did, but I would more call it misplaced anger than selfishness.

We'll see what he says but Tyler running away was definitely a major 'cause for this, even if unintended.

At least Shadow seems to have a better control of his temper! ^^

Thanks, I promised an emotional roller coaster, hopefully that has been achieved.

Wait, so Solar is the protagonist? I thought it was Nymphia, considering the title.

PM-James In reply to Uxiqiu [2018-10-20 08:23:33 +0000 UTC]

Solar is in the title too. My story has a multi-protagonist structure or in other-words the story is centered around the POV and perspective of multiple characters rather than the two leads (Protagonist and Antagonist, assuming the antagonist is a character and not simply a force of nature or something like that) as is how traditional narratives goes. Nymphia is a Protagonist and Solar and Shadow are as well. Due to that structure, the three of them may fall into more traditional protagonist, deuteragonist and tritagonist roles during specific moments in the story but as a whole, the narrative is built with the focus being on those three and structured accordingly.

The only other thing I'll say is the Protagonist Centered Morality trope I talked about isn't necessarily being applied to just one of them and I am not only interested in exploring just one variation of that trope either (the Antagonists as well are also being explored using that to some degree too).

Alright, then.
You mean the ‘‘exploring antagonists to some degree’’ part in the sense of how they view the entire thing?

PM-James In reply to Uxiqiu [2018-10-20 19:40:41 +0000 UTC]

More about the POV thing. Protagonist Centered Morality when used negatively often stems from the fact the story follows the main character and as such, they're declared the hero because the plot says they're the good guy and the antagonist is declared the villain because the plot says they're a villain, not because of anything they have actually done. That can result in the hero doing or believing something immoral and never getting any form of punishment or lesson for it and the villain doing something good and it being ignored. I don't have angels and I don't have devils in this, the protagonists do some good things, they do some bad things, antagonists are the same way.
