So my hiatus is going pretty well, wanted to release something for you guys and here is piece showing one of the things I am doing, this piece showing off a new coloring and shading technique I have been playing around with and am very happy with. Think it helps things pop and looks all around better. I want to use it for my comics as well and so far it is working well there too. I did Solar because he has been the trickiest to get it to work with since he is lightly colored but I think I got it figured out. So here he is in his usual arrogant self. That looks really good! Idk if it's what you should be doing everywhere, but it works well with espeon's silky fur.

Thanks! Well I'm pretty confident in it, but I will be doing another picture of a darker colored character and seeing how that turns out to be sure.

I was more thinking texture and fur/skin type to be honest. Like, I'd sort of think a more muted shading on something like typhlosion, but I've thought of espeon being more silky.

I've been experimenting with a new coloring and shading technique but the line art was done the same way. Maybe it merges better or something. Thinking about releasing a version with the original technique for a side by side comparison.
