Description     Hey everybody, this portrait was made for a couple reasons but I'll get into those in a minute. The main question is, should I reboot Catch Me If You Can? I've been rather unhappy how the whole thing looks and I think I could do much better with it. When I say reboot it, I do mean reboot the whole thing, chapter 1 and 2. This wouldn't be like when I fixed the beginning of Solarshadow, where I only fixed some pages but kept the overall thing, I would start a new on it and fix a lot of the issues I've personally had with it. To cover a few things of what that would include:
-A new art style, one of my issues with the original is the art style just doesn't look good, I wanted the comic to have a noticeably different art style than Shining Consequence and Solarshadow as sort of a simple way to illustrate it took place in its own universe and was not connected with them. This resulted in me trying a more detailed, realistic look that, I just think looks bad, especially the early pages. Here you can see what the new art style would look like, with a more pencil like lines apposed to the pixilated look my comics usually have. I think this looks a little generic but I do like it better overall and I feel like the human characters would look much better in it too.
-New scenes, it would be a reboot but it would be more akin to a retool, the events would be similar but go down a little bit differently. So you wouldn't worry about the plot being spoiled or anything. Catch Me If You Can is definitely my least viewed story, so I don't really have an issue with that. To give an idea, Red would have a completely new team for the Mewtwo fight, with Charizard and Jolteon being the only returning Pokemon (they're plot essential) but even then, I would choreograph new versions of their fights too.

So is this something you guys would mind? Like said, I've been contemplating doing this for some time now and I think it's for the best but I wanted to know your guys' thoughts. Comment below, I very much would like to hear feedback on this, the art style, etc. I'll make a voting poll for it as well.

*Also, regardless this wouldn't effect Solarshadow or Shining Consequence at all*

I wouldn't mind.  It's important for the creator to be as happy with their product as their followers are.  Otherwise there isn't much of a point to being a creator at all.

This could also potentially give you the chance to play around with your comic format, enlargening or shrinking certain panels dependig on what scenes you want to place emphasis on or put more detail into.  The current panel sizes are fine, but I can see where they may restrict you a little.

Yeah I agree, I just wanted to know what people thought of it.

Well I've talked about that before over in Shining Consequence and Solarshadow will address it very soon too, a lot of the reason I do very block comics is I feel like variant and special panels should be saved for significant events, basically as a way for them to stand out and signify the event is special. Although Catch Me If You Can is supposed to have a different sort of look to it to give the impression it is its own contained story (which it is), so I might consider doing that with it as a way to do that. Couldn't hurt to experiment.

I'm honestly happy either way: I liked Catch me if you can, and I'm interested in the plot, but if it's a complete reworking of the original I'm interested in that as well! I'd like to see new fight scenes I guess XD

Well there's a concept in toys called retooling, which is basically where you take an existing toy and change some things about it but keep it mostly the same. It be sort of like that, with the fight changed to have different Pokemon in it, Chapter 1's ending would be a little different, stuff like that. the overall story would be the same just with some tweaks, minor changes for suspense reasons, stuff like that.

I personally would not care to much but the only thing that would bother me is that I have to wait a lot longer to see the conclusion to this story

Well conclusion would be a while regardless, story is going to be at least as long as Solarshadow. What I may do is debut some extra time to it to get through it faster, I probably would have done something like that anyway to make up for the hiatus it was on.
