The promised portrait, my first release of the year and one I am very happy to finish for you guys. Here we have Shadow and Dominic on the Night Zack became Shadow. I haven't talked a whole lot about the original draft for this story (or any of them) but I will discuss one of the major changes that was made. This is based on a scene that I decided to cut from the final version of the story for time reasons and because I didn't really think it was needed. In the original draft, Shadow would have continued his flash back past Solar's evolution and talked about his own evolution (Nymphia would have told her backstory after that as well, major reason I rewrote that sequence was because I felt there were to many flashbacks in one spot. I don't agree that you shouldn't have flashbacks, prologues, etc like other people would recommend but I think you should separate them out, so Nymphia's was moved to an earlier point and Shadow's was cut entirely and only implied instead of flat out told). I don't want to talk to much about exactly what happened in case I decided to tell that story later but this picture sums up what took place pretty well I think and honestly I like having it be done this way. The dialogue is a combination of what Shadows says to Nymphia in the final draft and what he would have said during the flashback if he had discussed his own Evolution.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy, happy 2018 and I shall return in a few weeks (hopefully the 22nd, unless the Wisdom teeth thing puts me out longer than expected, than it will be the 29th).

As mentioned, this is based on a cut sequence from Soalrshadow, but images depicting it and based on it are also accepted for the contest.

From December 1, 2018- February 28, 2019, I am running a contest revolving around these scenes where you could win up to 1000 points and make a cameo appearance in Shining Consequence! If you're interested, consider entering it. Details can be seen here:

Solarshadow Anniversary Contest Solarshadow has just finished Chapter 2 officially and as promised, I want to run a contest to celebrate it. Specifically, I want to focus on what I had called the big events of that chapter. Significant events of Shining Consequence going on at the time will also be accepted. Goal will be to depict one of these events in some sort of way, be it drawing a picture based on one of these scenes, an alternate ending or reimagining to one of these events, predictions on future things based on one of these, etc. Below is a list of all of the events that qualify and the pages that featured them for quick reference:
