Hey everybody, so I got a special piece done. I have been interested in doing promotional art and special pictures of events from Solarshadow and Shining Consequence, some new stuff and some remakes. This piece some of you may recognize, this is a remake of an image I did a while back featuring Shadow and his human friend Dominic, spending time together. I've talked about the original draft for Solarshadow before and some of the changes that were made, this piece being based on a cut part that would have taken place during Solar and shadow's past. There Solar's evolution into Espeon was explained, however Shadow did not tell his own. Well in the original draft he actually did, however I chose to cut it for two reasons,
1) originally it included Nymphia's past as well and I thought there was to much backstory stuff all in one spot, so Nymphia's past was moved to chapter 1 and this scene focused on just Solar and Shadow instead.
2) Reptition, Shadow's backstory would have been a happy ending to an otherwise sad tale. Solar's backstory was also a happy ending to an otherwise sad tale. So when deciding which one to cut, I felt Solar's was more important, mainly due to his character and personality being discussed. Shadows only really had one purpose and that was explaining why he felt differently about humanity, however he was already shown to be friends with Dominic earlier in the same scene, so I found it unnecessary.

Anyway, that's why it was cut. If it had been included, this would have been the final shot with Dominic and Shadow hanging out after Zack had become Shadow. I may still end up telling this story, so I wont walk about it here but I do still like this image and wanted to draw it. Hope you guys like it.
