Description
One of the possible light sources in Octane Render is "Texture Environment", when the image (typically HDR image) acts as omni-directional light source; this is also known as IBL technique en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image-ba… .There was some changes in node parameters for that type of lighting in latest (1.5x) versions of Octane Render. In order to rotate environment image now, it's necessary to set these options (shown above with circled frames):
- UV transform: set to '3D Transformation'
- Translation:
X defines the rotation in horizontal plane
Y defines the rotation in vertical plane
Values is inferred from the fact that 1.0 is equal to full turnover or 360 degrees. So, 0.1 = 36 degrees. See lower images as example of rotating, with different values of X.
- Projection: Mesh UV
- Border mode: Wrap Around
Other values are left untouched (Translation: Rotation Order, Rotation and Scale), or can be changed as always according to specific rendering needs (Power, Invert, Gamma and so on).

There are a lot of breaking changes from 1.20 to 1.5x version A lot of things to learn again

They typically release the next version, say 1.53, then (just after some hours) post an urgent message like "...there was a terrible bug in that version, you SHOULD use now next-quickly-fixed version 1.53.1"
It is so familiar to me, because I'm also a software developer...

as long they don't make me PAY again for an update/patch, is fine Probably if the plug-in for DAZ didn't make DAZ crashing every 2 minutes i wasn't using the stand alone version ( both in the same pack), so now i'm struggling twice because the stand alone is so much more complex

Next version (which is 2.0 and was released just now) is paid upgrade . Hope, that 1.x version will be supported for some time, at least bug fixes.

Yeah, i've seen it. 99Euro for an upgrade, is theft. If they drop the 1.x version i will report them for fraud. -_-
