I'm pretty sure Jesus would encourage those on food stamps to work for what they can earn on their own to benefit the rest of the nation to better strengthen the nations economy.
That's just my point of view but if a country such as the US has a good economy, then social programs like food stamps will restrict the benefits of those not on food stamps.

This poster naively generalizes a group of people. Considering your redskins poster and it's description, this is kind of ironic with a hint of hypocrisy.
I'm independent and impartial by the way. So no, I'm not an offended conservative trying to argue. I am just stating my own observations.

If Jesus were alive today, there is a great possibility he would be advocating the Wall Street Occupation and possibly and economic system other than Capitalism.

You know how Pope Francis is starting to modernize the Catholic church faster than the Republican party is modernizing itself? There was this one article on the web, I forget where exactly, discussing how FOX News said Francis is the Catholic equivalent of Obama, and how that's a bad thing. The article also mentioned tongue in cheek about, how, if Jesus were to return to earth today and start preaching what he was preaching 2,000+ years ago, FOX would probably start calling for Christ to be crucified again.

Awesome that there are still christians that ask this question!
Too sad church(es) are ruining this mans legicy by adding nonsense!
That makes more people agnostics/atheists instead of spreading the word about how to behave!
Good job!

Food stamps do not bother me, it's that certain people use them on extravagant foods (lobster, shrimp, prime cuts, etc) and non-food items (tattoos, iPhones, beer, cigs, etc).
I want to see people who TRULY need them to get them.

There's no proof of any of your bullshit. You cannot purchase tattoos, iPhones, alcohol, or cigarettes with food stamps.
Since it's your assertion that these benefits are used to purchase extravagant foods, let's seem some documented proof.
Otherwise, shut up and don't use my gallery to spread your reactionary falsehoods.

Conservatives took all the good words out of Jesus' mouth and replaced them with hardline objectivist bullshit. So they'd probably say something along the lines of "get a job, welfare queen." Disgusting people.

You bet, and a radical community organizer, too. It's like this: if you do nothing more than mouth pious platitudes about helping the poor, they call you a Christian. But, if you actually do something to help the poor, they call you a socialist.

I wish to amend this statement somewhat. I did not mean to imply that all Christians are hypocrites. Far from it. But it does seem to me that certain politicized American fundamentalists have not the slightest idea about the social justice message implicit in all of Jesus of Nazareth's teachings.

Makes you wonder who really follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and who is going to be saved on judgement day?
It's been a few years since I've been out of my Catholic High School but I believe it was Jesus who said, "Treat others as you would like to be treated."

And Jesus went into the temple, and smited the crap out of the moneylenders and them that bought and sold, casting them out and saying unto them, "It is written, my Father's house shall be called the house of prayer, but thee hath made it a den of thieves!"
And they said unto him, "But master, we exercise only our free market rights, as taught to us by thine prophet Ayn Rand!"
And Jesus laughed, "I kid thee. Nay, I smote the crap out of thee because thou hast broken my golden rule - thou hast raised taxes on thy lending, and thus hast thou angered the Lord."
And Jesus sat at the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain widow, and she threw in two mites, which makes a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, "Verily I say unto you, that this widow is a freeloader. The rich 1% hath given more this evening than a million widows giveth in all the years of their lives."
And they did laugh heartily at the impoverished, for the poor are shameful in their culture of dependence, and communist heathens partaketh not of American apple pie.
