This was a special day for her. She was still not quite sure how this had really happened.
Only a few days ago she had been a girl who no one really knew. She had been crushing on him for over a year. They had never spoken and she had no plans to do so one day. He was two years older so no contacted had never been made. She did not even know his name but that never really mattered. As long as she could see his great smile from afar and imagine what he would be like. He was one of the "popular" kids in school but he was so different than the usual kids who ruined the school for the rest of the universe.
She had been sitting with her friends. They we're talking about trucks and how fast their rides could go. She was looking at him. He had been sitting two tables across from her. He looked like he was in a deep conversation with his best friend when all of his friends turned to look in her direction. She quickly turn her head to face her on friends.
- What was that for?! Asked Bert.
- What do you mean? She replayed. Her face was red and she could fell it.
- Oh it's because of him isn't it?! You know they're still looking at you. That guy you like must have talked about you or something. I mean he's dumb if he can't see you have a crush on him. You always look at him like if he was a piece of chicken and you hadn't eaten in a week!
This was when she asked herself why she could not have girlfriend like normal girls. Bert was joking and she knew it but she couldn't help herself to hitting him. To make things worse my best friend Tom cried out: "Hey! Yeah you over there! Come over here our girl wants' to talk to you!"
- Really Tom?! Did you really have to do that?
- Of course! If we don't force you two to talk you'll die fantasising of him. Plus he has a really cute sister I wouldn't mind to talk to sometime. With you two together I would have a chance!
- It's not going to work buddy! She started to laugh.
- Huh, Bert said, they're really coming over here!
- What?!
It was true one of his friends was pulling and two were pushing him over to our table. He looked like he wanted to cry or something. It looked almost painful. She didn't want to meet him like that ...
