Charlie is sitting in his room in front of Mr.Shinny. It's a Friday night but he had decided to stay in and edit videos he had decided to never post. He could hear the noise from the tele and feet padding down the corridor to his room. The door swung open and his friend came in.
"Hey Charles! Get you're coat I'm taking you out." Alex grinned up at his flatmate.
"Okay for what occasion?" he replied suspiciously.
"None… Just wanted to spend time with you that's all. Now come on were going to be late!"
Alex pushed his friend out the flat and quickly closed the door; locking it and turning to look at Charlie. He couldn't help but smile. The gorgeous guy was amazing and kind… so willing to do anything his mind could invent.
"May I ask for what we are going to be late my dear Ali?" Charlie asked putting that know it all face on display. He was toying with his friend and never actually waited for an answer.
"We're going to Paris, love!"
The brunette was shocked. He thought he was going for supper at the pizza place they both loved down the street but Paris… That was unexpected!
"Alex! Paris?! Are you serious? Please tell me you're not serious…"
Alex looked disappointed. He did not expect his flatmate to react this way; He looked a touch mad.
"I mean we don't have to go if you don't want to… But that was the idea. I know how much you loved it there and well it was quite a place."
"Of course I want to go Alex!!! But it's already 9'o'clock how are we going to come back tomorrow?!"
"I thought of that so I booked us a hotel room for three nights! We can stay there the whole weekend! You know travel around and stuff…"
By now Charlie was jumping up and down and hugging Alex repeatedly. "That's lovely! I love you so much Alex Day!"
At this remark his cheeks turned bright red. If only Charlie could see how much it meant to him… Those tree words could keep him running for a whole life. If only he could see how much he loved him…
"Come on! The taxi is waiting outside. The train leaves soon!"

Charlie had fallen asleep the minute they sat down in the train. All the excitement had taken the better of him and a good sleep would help him for the days to come. The boy had spread himself on Alex's lap to get a better position. Alex had been taken to him perfectly knowing his friend was sleeping and trying to get everything he wanted to say out. At least that way he could say that he had spoken to the boy about the feelings he had been harbouring in him for years.
"Charlie? Do you know how hard it is for me to stay away from you?! When you smile it's like a spotlight is on you and no one else… I know it's corny and stuff but it's all true! I love you more than any music in the world… One word from you and I would stop writing and singing for ever…"

I'm about to collapse into the dreamland but something keeps me awake. It's like a distant voice, almost soundless but I can still recognize it. It's Alex… That superb best friend… the great man I would love to snog every day. I hear bits of his speech. "I love you more than any music in the world…" I smile at the thought of hearing him say those words to me… But my thoughts drift away into a land were all is possible… Sleep overcomes me and I dream of my life with the perfect boyfriend.
