Charlie stopped in the middle of the wall way. The boy… the boy with Alex was beautiful, even more beautiful than he remembered from their last encounter. It was Dan. TheManofDann himself! They had met a long time ago and had gotten very cozy had even dated for a while but since it was their little secret they had never mentioned it to anyone or at least that's what Charlie hoped. It would be so weird to have his current boyfriend and an old one standing in front of him knowing they knew too.
Dan went over and hugged him grinning and laughing.
"Hey Charlie, long time no see!" Charlie hugged back his eyes glued on Dan's body and face. How could he stand to be this beautiful and hope people would actually listen to what he's saying? Charlie grinned as well and hoped the hug would never end. He had completely forgotten about Alex until he interrupted the lovely moment saying: "Hrm I need to go see you soon! I love you Charlie…" His sandy companion mumbled a good bye. It was the first time he did not feel the butterflies in his stomach when Alex said he loved him.
Alex left the house felling awkward. What had happened to Charlie? Why was he not after him like before? How did he know Dan? What happened between them? Why was Charlie gawking at his cousin like that? Why wasn't Charlie at his feet?! He felt cheated but a little whispering voice called to his mind: " Alex that's exactly what you are doing to him… With Bridie and all the other girls, you love him but can't commit to anyone… Let them be they'll be happy…" Alex cried all the way to his meeting with a girl but at the last minute decided to go back. He could commit! He could be a great boyfriend for Charlie! He loved Charlie and hated himself for being such an ass to a wonderful and amazing boy.
Ed was walking down to Alex's house when he spotted him in a street setting on a bench wipping.
"Alex is something wrong?"
"Ed… I'm such a terrible person! How can he still love me…? I treated him so badly and he's such a good boy what happened to the guy I used to be Ed? I know at some point I would have never done that to anyone for any reason and now I don't even realise it… I love him so much…"
"You are… You're a dick head that wants to go out and fuck every one but I know you can change Alex, I know Charlie loves you more than anything that will ever exist in the world till it ends and maybe even then! Tell him you love him… Show him… Alex you can't do this ever again… It will destroy him!"
Alex got up hugged Ed and thanked him. He ran to the house knowing exactly how to show and tell Charlie he loved him…
