"Hey! What you doing?" jumping into Alex's lap.
"Nothing much love, but you're sitting on Edd's face!" I looked at Alex with a dumb look before comprehending what had happened. Climbing off my flatmate's lap I discovered my friend's iPad and Edd's face laughing himself silly. Feeling my face turn to a red shade I weakly said
"Oh sorry Edd!" Before starting to giggle realizing how awkward the situation must have been.
"It's fine Charlie! How are you doing anyway?"
"Fine ..." I responded.
"Alex what did you want to know so badly? I mean you're on Skype!"
"Yeah my phone was dead. I wanted to know if Tom and you wanted to come over. You know play music or play Portal 2. By the way do you like Charlie's arse now that you've seen it up close?! I know I do!" I threw a look his way that meant 'Stop that! He'll figure it out!' but Alex, being himself just cracked up even more. Edd laughed and said.
"Well mate I would love to but Tom still in bed and I'm not the one who is going to wake him up! Last time he tried to ripe my shirt off! Maybe you guys should come over here! Alex can wake up Tom and you know work his charm!" I should explain this. Alex has a way to talk Tom out of trying to kill people when he wakes up. You see our blue haired friend doesn't like to be waken up. Trust me; you would rather be trampled by elephant more than wake him up! I looked at Alex pleadingly because it had been a long time since we had all been together. Alex smiled and said.
"Sure we'll come over just give us 30 minutes to get ready and we'll be on the train!"
"Okay than! I have to go. This place is mess!"
"Okay Charlie will text you if something changes."
Turning to me he put his iPad on the counter and asked:
"Well, you coming back over here love?!?"
Snuggling into my boyfriend's lap he felt the same feeling of calmness and joy I always feel when I'm around him.
"Hello ..." he murmured into my ear while passing a hand threw my hair. "I love you so much Charlieburg!"
"Me too Alex!"
We said nothing for a while and I finally looked up at his face. He looked older for some reason and he looked like he hadn't slept for days.
"What's wrong 'Lex?" I asked worried.
"Nothing I was just thinking of something. He got up and sat me beside him on the couch. He ran to the kitchen to pick up his phone and want in his room. He was acting weird I remarked out loud. Thinking back I feel like an Mister Obvious! I got up and want to my room to assemble what I needed.
Walking to the station was weird. Alex never said a word and when I tried to take his hand in mine but he refused it.
