Annoyed with the new message system? Want deviation alerts and other messages separate again? Don't despair! There IS a way! Observe: Go to the "drop-down" menu and click "Splinter Menu." Voila! Separate messages! To undo: go back to the "drop-down" menu and click "Unsplinter Menu." It's as easy as that!

I just discovered this feature today, and since this is one of the issues people seem to have with v7, I thought I'd share!

I actually don't mind v7. Once you figure out where everything is, it actually IS much easier to navigate than v6, in my opinion. I just wish they would tell us about nifty little features like this one that would have made the transition SO MUCH EASIER! A warning would have been nice, too. They need to make a tutorial or something that explains the new layout for people - I think that would cut down on at least some of the negative feedback, since I think it's the frustration of having to figure things out that's causing a lot of it.

My BIGGEST issue with v7 (and just about the only one now that I'm getting used to it) is the lack of search bar on all but the front page. And there could be a trick to that which I haven't discovered yet, so...we'll see!
