Description

So, just to spice up the roster of non-starfighter ships of the FFR, I thought I give you the equivalent of the Corellian Corvette, namely, the Secular-class Corvette.

Name: Secular-class

Ship type: Corvette-Escort

Length: 218.2 Meters

Width: 53.6 meters

Height: 50.2 meters

6 Phaser Cannons (Twin Barrel)

2 Nightmare Torpedo Launchers (40 missiles per silo)

History:
The Secular-class is the smallest starship in active military duty in the FFR. Armed with relatively few weapon, the Secular serves an Anti-Starfighter and light patrol duty, within the FFR navy. Often seen with cruisers leading small task forces, Secular-class Corvettes make up the meat of planetary defense fleets around colony worlds who don't warant the presence, of a larger FFR cruiser flotilla.

Absent during the innitial battles of the conflict with the Galactic Empire, over 300 Secular-class Corvettes were sent to the Andromeda Galaxy to reinforce the FFR's fleets there, divided among the different fleets and flotilla's present. It is the Secular-class Corvette [Shining Star] which makes first contact with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, when the ship stumbles upon the evacuation fleet when they left Hoth. This marks the first fully peaceful contact between the FFR and an Andromeda Galaxy faction after the aggressions of the Galactic Empire.

Despite the weapon normally being too large for a Covette, the Secular is most famous for mounting a single Black Hole Driver Cannon, sitting in her nose, which grants the ship a massive leap in firepower compared to most other ships of her size.

So, and done. As you may guess, the nose-mounted cannon on this ship is inspired by Halo's Mass-Accelator-Cannons, or MACs. Why are there no other with these weapons? Because the BHD is literally the largest, most powerful Mass Driver the FFR has and most other ships which mount them are large enough for them in turrets.

Also, the base of the design is, again, the ship template of another. I admit that.
