I hate when some one wants you to kiss their ass because their husbands, brothers, coison joined the navy like 10 years ago just to get into a good college. And on memorial day they get piss ass drunk because they think they are sacrificing for their country because their husbands, brothers, cousin was in the armed forces at one point; to get into college.
I also agree that body armor is overrated. Ever see paintings depicting female Spartans? Barely clad....as well as the males. I know that woman have to put up with crap like bikini chain mail. But it doesn't mean a female character has to be covered from head to toe in every warlike depiction either.
Personally, id go the spartan route myself. A spear, or long sword...maybe a satchel with some water and rations. A loin cloth...some camo...and im set
