Thodreaias laughed. "Good! I want everyone to be happy tonight and also, selfishly, to a little envious that I caught such an amazing man!" ... The half-celestial helped his sister into her seat and indeed fetched her some sweets before beaming a grin as Lee caught him up again.

*Oh?* he intoned, arching one elegant brow, happily following Lee's lead back to the floor. *Have something in mind?*

Lee's eyes gazed hungrily over the celestial, *Many things, my love. Many things. But for now, let us show them our dance skills.* He offered his hand to his beloved then proceeded to put Tho through a complex series of turns and lifts that displayed the celestial's wings and inhuman grace to full measure as well as his own flexibility and strength. All dancing stopped as people turned to watch. The band played furiously trying to keep up with the couple.

Thodreaias shivered openly as Lee's eyes roamed over him and he felt a warm rush of heat course his spine as he delighted in having the man look at him like that. *Gladly!* he returned, offering his hand out to the narf. The cleric let Lee pick the pace and the style, then fell into perfect step with his new husband, playing off of the narf's grace and movements to compliment every move perfectly. They had found their harmony together, and, free from his sorrows and instead full of joyful exuberence, Thodre blossomed. He danced as he'd never danced before and even Ael and Amail stood there gawking at the pair. Clasani found herself crying as Sasunschiel held her close, watching his son in wonder.

"Well...if, ahem, anyone....doubted...them...." Lashanta whispered, but just trailed off in mid-sentence as he watched the spectacle.

Jayne nodded, "Yup. They are one helluva good looking couple, very suited to each other. The little guy is sporting that he's not so little of a guy." She coughed. "And Lee's looking like he's gonna bust out of his pants. They better hold that ritual thingy soon, otherwise, the boys are going to be holding it right there in the middle of the dance floor."

"He's not little...." Amail commented before he blushed and coughed, realizing he'd admit it aloud. Thankfully Clasani and Sasunschiel seemed too distracted to be offended or reprimand him any. Lashanta chuckled wryly.

"I'm not sure that'd stop Lee..." he mentioned, tearing his eyes off his brother to look to the faerie queen. "I'm sure he'd be just has happy to host it anywhere...."

Slayon nuzzled his wife, kissing her cheek. "Should we...oblige them perhaps to be able to take their dance to the next natural level in proper ceremony?"

Sharii chuckled, "Nuzzle me like that again, beautiful one, and we'll be replaying our ceremony." She stood and held up her hands. The plaza became still. "It is time for the kum-tai ritual, binding the two for eternity and letting the world...letting all the worlds...know these two have become one."

The starbirds' collective mood shifted to one of somberness. Nothing was taken more serious than an kum-tai bonding; it was the most sacred of all unions.

Sharii led a procession to the meditating pool where the 'flower' floated at the end of a long walk way. Lanterns, torches, and candles along the rim of the pool were all lit as well as floating candles which were set adrift inside.

Sharii turned to the couple, "This starts your trek to becoming one flesh. If either of you wish to turn back, do so now. Otherwise, step forward." Her voice rang clearly and was amplified by over a thousand telepaths throughout the crowd.

Through the hush, a drum beat softly. It was joined by a violin and an ude. At last, Mai lifted her voice in song as her power washed over all in attendance. She wove her spell masterfully as only she could, lacing in feelings of sexuality but as well as rejoicing and solemnity. It was almost a lullaby, it was so soothing, so that even the most uncomfortable with the open display of intercourse were set at ease.

Lee took his beloved's hand and put his other arm around his waist, lifting him up into his arms. Staring into Thodre's eyes, he took him to the boat, where they began to dance, slowly, intimately, and seductively.

Thodreaias startled some as the mood shifted and the announcement was made, tearing his eyes off his mate's gaze to look to the starbird queen. A grin spread his lips in what seemed like excitement and a hint of relief. For while he was enamored of the celebration as it had been all night, the cleric found himself becoming more and more lost in his lover's embrace...aching for his husband with a growing intense need. He willingly followed along and when Sharii made the offer, Tho stepped forward immediately. He didn't want to turn away...he didn't ever want to be separate from Lee. Gods, no, he loved his husband and he wanted to be his for all eternity!

The cleric whimpered as he gasped at the sight of the floating flower and mewled softly as Lee took him up into his arms. Thodre set his hands onto the narf's cheeks and jaw, nuzzling the man before he looked deeply into Lee's eyes, his own gaze awash with want and love, power and passion. A thrill rushed over his wings at the music and Mai's voice. The firre twins waited until the bard worked her magic before singing soft undertones to compliment her general voice in haunting harmony. It was all a chilling--in every right way--backdrop to Tho's ears.

When Lee allowed him back his feet, the celestial came right into his perfect compliment to his mate's movements once again. He teased his body against that of his husband, giving him inviting looks and coaxing the narf with his poses all the while putting on a show of just how they moved together so perfectly...not just in any stylized dance but truly in every last breath.

Huge fluffy pinions stretched and flexed, fanning the air and tickling his partner. Every silent panted breath against him thrilled him, as they were Lee's harmony to him. Perhaps not audible but Tho heard it anyway. He felt his husband's love washing over him as surely as did his warm breath. Felt it in his embrace. And in that moment, Thodreaias Claathsan found he was actually proud others could bare witness to their love-making for all the power and depth to it.

Shivering and shuddering, the man sang his husband's name as he peaked in time with his mate, euphoric tears dampening his cheeks as he continued to rock with Lee, pleasure and compassion making him climax as he never had before, even with the narf's skilled attentions.

When both men had reached orgasm, a gong was rung followed by Sharii's voice ringing clearly, "BEHOLD! THE TWO MADE ONE. LET NO ONE COME BETWEEN THEM AND MAY ALL PANTHEONS OF ALL WORLDS BEAR WITNESS AND BLESS THE UNION OF KUM-TAI!"

Through Mai, Lee knew the announcement of their bond had been made. He pulled his Kum-tai love to him and then sat back. Arms wrapped around Tho's midriff and chest, Lee made the universal symbol for "I love you" over his husband's heart. He pressed his lips to Tho's temple and mouthed, "I love you," then rested his forehead on the celestial's shoulder, his azure hair running down the chiseled and tanned chest of the other. Lee cradled him close as the petals of the boat began to close.

All in attendance watched as the closed flower rose into the air and floated in the direction of the palace.

There was a moment of awed silence....which was broken by a strong feminine voice, "Let's get back to the party!"
Mai shook her head, "Oh Jayne..."

Tho's long lashes fluttered as he felt Lee shift, blinking open his eyes to glance down at his partner's arms wrapped about his panting chest. The cleric smiled dreamily for the symbol, repeating it for his mate as he moaned softly, letting the sound vibrate in his throat for his husband. *I love you so much....so very much, my husband!* Thodre signed before he wrapped his arms back and up around Lee's neck, flexing his wings against his beloved.

So absorbed in the Euphoria was Lee, that he barely noticed the lifting of the 'boat'. He was mildly surprised when it opened inside their suite. He had been cuddling his husband close and covering him in soft touches and caresses. He wasn't ready to interrupt the moment even for the brief period it would take to exit the flower. He did make note of his surroundings long enough to be flattered by the consideration, but then he went back to admiring the treasure in his arms.

Thodreaias whimpered, sighing as his pinions shivered with tiny trembling ripples of contented pleasure as Lee's fingers played over his naked, dampened skin. The cleric smiled lazily as his eyes fluttered open, only to blink in curiosity to notice they were not outside anymore. "How.....wh..." he muttered only to furrow his brow and chuckle. The man shook his head. It didn't really matter.

He arched his back as he stretched and slowly disentangled from his intimate embrace with his beloved only to lay himself nestled down, opening his arms to Lee with a loving, inviting look. Once the narf curled close again, Thodre nuzzled the azure man, running his fingers through his beaded-and-feathered hair. *Gods, if I've never felt so perfect...*

*You feel perfect to me,* the narf signed with a grin. *But you are right, this moment he's been the embodiment of perfection. Exquisite.* He hugged the celestial tightly for a brief moment before relaxing his arms into a comfortable and soothing cuddle. Lovingly he ran his cheek over the top of Thodre's golden head and sighed happily.

*I want to be perfect for you,* Tho countered with a grin of his own. He shivered in Lee's arms as he hugged the nymph just as fiercely, running his hands up and down the man's back even as his husband relaxed the grip. His husband, and his kum-tai! The half-celestial's lips pulled back in a bright and giddy grin as he buried his face against Lee's neck, clutching to the man as he wrapped one leg up over his companion's hips just to increase their touch. Tho kissed at his mate's collar before laying back again and eagerly guiding the narf's left hand where he could see it, admiring the ring he'd forged resting upon the azure digit. Baby-blue, star-filled eyes lifted to Lee's gaze. "We're married!" he mouthed breathlessly. "We are one, Lee!"

Lee caught the back of Thodre's thigh and pressed him closer to his pelvis but released him so his husband could admire the ring. He nodded at Tho's eager exclamation. *We have always been one, dear heart. Now, everyone knows it.* ... ~ snippit(s) from 'Heartstrings'

I, erm...couldn't include the whole of those snippits as some of it isn't...PG lol But did wish to include some of the RP snippits that went with the kum-tai ceremony. "Kum-tai" is the most sacred, powerful union amongst the Starbirds in Gantrell. It is not just being wed but truly being two-become-one...soulmates forever bound to one another. It is unbreakable. It's everything that Thodreaias had ever hoped to find when, at last, he came into Lee's life and they found the partner each other was always meant for. Lee knew the moment he'd seen Tho, and it did not take him long to convince Thodre to take the leap of faith he needed to learn how to fly with reforged wings once broken. Tho admit the depth of the love he'd discovered on Midsummer's eve and Lee immediately proposed. The pair were wed shortly afterwards and bound by kum-tai later in the evening of their marriage.

I made 3 different versions of this image in the end. I shaded my pencil lines and then when I scanned it, I made a second version that was scanned in "color" and tinted it with a "blushed" tone, as well as taking the original greyscale lines and coloring a flat color splash beneath it with some subtle/soft shading to it. I'm honestly not sure which I ended up liking the most in the end, as they all have their own beauty to them and different subtle feel

This is the "colored" version.

It took me WAY too freaking long to finish this but I'd put it aside for several different reasons. I was getting so very frustrated at the pose and profile angle and not being able to get the two to look like themselves and then I had many other projects that desperately needed to be done. And while I do have other commissions at the moment I desperately wanted to pick it back up and try to finish it in time for Valentine's day. As Vday has always been a day in which Tho "shined" and always seemed to "fit" with. He's been the one I've drawn a Vday pic for, for a very long time and so it seemed only befitting that finally he'd be showcased with his partner...and not just a partner he'd had, but his husband, the love of his life, his kum-tai. And so this picture was ever drawn to celebrate their kum-tai bond and what better day to finish it to showcase that on but the day all about sharing love?
