Foreshortening sucks! Just sayingMy friend had a HORRID day at work the other day and so, hearing about it, I thought she REALLY deserved some huggles! And whereas I couldn't give them directly thanks to the miles between us I thought I'd do the next best I could...our characters truly could use the cuddle-times too so win-win
Love ya, girlie! Very glad you liked the pic and hopefully things start to look up! And if not, unleash Veld on them all and then come stay with me when you need to flee the country << >>

This is beautifully done! Even though you say the foreshortening sucks, you've handled it really well, and captured the poses and emotions perfectly. I love the sketchy feel and the atmospheric background! Awesome work!

Thanks! Foreshortening is never easy! But I'm glad it looks decent and the emotions are showcased very well! That's something I strive for in my art Thank you so much glad you like it over all

Yeah, tell me about it. XD I don't know if this will help, but have a look at the renaissance theories of foreshortening and their application in art...Paolo Ucello, for an extreme example? They used things like the golden section etc....I don't know if it'll help, just an idea. :3

OMG how on earth did I miss this one!? It's absolutely adorable and I think you did really well on the foreshortening! It's such a cute pose and they look great together too! I love that Veld's wearing the hat Shiz gifted too!

lol I thought I might've even shown you the link..or posted it to Veld while you were around but not sure...think it was done after you'd signed off one night. Who knows..it was hiding lol. haha glad you like it I had a pose ref to help some though it was small and a boy and a girl and not two girls but still always helps lol. And yes this was when she was refusing to take that hat off ever so thought it was a "must have" in the pic
So glad you like it hun!
yay for buried treasure? lol

Yeah a lot of times my SL is so slow that it won't even let me look at links at all with my web browser, so that may have been it! But you'd think I would have seen it in my watch feed! Unless that 'bug' a while back that people were having where they said their artwork didn't show up in people's watch was true!
It really is adorable though! I love it so much!

Maybe, maybe lol! Maybe it was just hiding....Veld was scared to show she actually was cuddling with Arabae! Le gasp! Hide the evidence! Before Daddy sees it and goes "SEE!!!!! Now damnit is it REALLY THAT BAD?!?!?!?!? just LOVE MY DAUGHTER ALREADY!!!!" lol
I'm glad you like it! It was fun to draw and I'm glad it showcases an adorable emotional moment hehhehehe

I find it really hard to get right too, but I think you did a good job at the foreshortening! Cozy drawing

Thanks! Foreshortening is never easy to wrap your brain around quite right. Especially when the reference has models with rather different proportions than the characters you intend to draw haha! Glad you like it and it gets the "cozy" feel across in the end

I went through my cuddly-pose refs and decided this one would work good for what I wanted to convey hehhehe. The outfits were based off some of their SecondLife clothing. Lots of neat outfits there! ^^ And yeah...I'm not the best with hats and didn't have a reference screenshot of Veld in the hat facing the right direction so kinda....hoped for the best! lol!!!! Thanks for the fav!

Did you use a tablet or mouse? Have you heard of,
Artrage before, I have it, it's so cool and for £37 I thought it was a great deal you can take s look at artrage dot com, I never got round to using PhotoShop to completed for me, I've used other software like painter x, that was better with real paint seemed ace to me but all the brushes were tricky, then I found and still using Artrage, its great, my friend nick on DA uses it all the time, and he's always in the FX mag

Tablet. Graphire3 wacom. I've never heard of it. I tried an old version of Photoshop before but I've never actually LEARNED how to use it properly. I click and hope

I really this you should try a demo of artrage, I think you will like it, I never got on photoshop, or painter x, I think there is to much going on, to many things to sort out, I just like my Artrage Studio Pro 3.5, here ih a link to the site, Artrage dot com, and click demo, There still at a rock bottom price, $59.90 thats £37 in the Uk, and its easy and I think better than photoshop an 10 times cheaper, have a try.
Hope I've helped you here and you get the programe, it's so cool and easy to use.

Your very welcome, glad I can help a fellow artist, p.s. I still have and use paint shop pro 5, but only for website & resizing use now, but I still use it.
Think you will love Artrage like I have

mm he has fine art indeed, your friend! and certainly makes more realistically detailed pics than my stuff haha!!! I got PSP7 for free and so have kind of gotten comfortable with it though I know I've still a lot to learn in digital technique...no matter the program used

Your art is fine, my wife can't draw for toffee, so you have a better eye than her, I had extra lessons at school and everyone said (that's great and can you draw mine for me,) and if you look at my drawings now, then look at others on here, then mine is rubbish compared to others on deviantart, so your art is great to, don't ever think yours isn't, you my have to learn more, we all need to learn more, I'm learning all the time, using my wacom bamboo pen, just wish I had loads of cash to get the wacom cintiq, it looks so cool, this is good look here [link] I'm just working on a Mr Fox picture at the moment, take a look -> [link] anyway keep drawing and i'll message soon ya, chris

pic looks really good ^^ and yes we all are always improving all the time. There's always more to learn. And really we all have our own styles, in the end. So some are better at certain types of art than others.

I'm very glad it does I hope that it can bring a smile to your features even later down the line whenever you might need a smile and happen to glance at it ^^ Definitely mission accomplished. *huggles* I can say Arabae definitely appreciated the influence it had on Veld attackle-glomping her in IM on SL after you got the pic and all too. Happiness all around.
And of course I did! If she's not going to take it off for sex or marriage or anything else if she can help it then I figured she'd have it on for cuddlez And yeah, Arabae's tush is very ...apparent...we shall say in this pic lol. But hey it still very cute over all and for that I was content with it. So long as it makes you [and Veld] happy then woot! ^^
