Alexander was pleasantly surprised by just how quickly Shinyuu did prove to learn the steps he taught. Whilst the waltz was of the more simple dances for basic steps to teach, it was still astonishing how...natural it seemed for the woman. The knight found himself smiling like some giddy boy. His steely eyes had brightened to a brilliant silver once again for the excitement and joy of his mood. He chuckled brightly in mirth as they flit about the floor. The gentleman was sure to murmur to his companion any adjustments he intended in the dance and so it was he whispered to Shinyuu before twirling the woman out away from him and then back in. The pirouette put her back near his chest as Alexander adjusted their spin in reverse, stepping back in a circuit as he grinned down at the woman from over her shoulder. "Ah, but the ice doth melt to reveal the true crystals shining like brilliant, scintillating sapphires of midday!" he purred, winking at Shinyuu, his single-beating heart fluttering in his breast. "Thee truly are a polished gem!"

The Dacian was so wrapped up in the thrill of being able to act as a gentleman like he had not in decades that he did not even notice the spectacle he and Shinyuu had become. Did not sense the angered gaze upon him from the peacock's sire. He simply stepped back to spin his partner about that they were facing each other again, features bright and joyful.

Ebony curling locks flying about as he spun away from Alexander and then back again, the shorter vampire found himself breathlessly chuckling, that tight feeling within his chest flaring once more with the knight's flirtatious and praising words in his direction. Oh how starved was he to hear such phrases, and from someone who seemed so very genuine, devoid of ulterior motives. And Shinyuu was almost absolutely sure by this point that the goodly man's intentions were true and noble.

"You flatter." Shinyuu gasped with the last spin, tucking himself close to the man and resting one delicate hand atop Alex's chest once he had spun near again. "And I find myself starved for those flattering words." he added, heavily accented voice a whisper as they danced close once more.

The Dacian's gilded gaze twinkled with delight as Shinyuu smiled and laughed. The woman was as a spring flower blossoming under the welcomed embrace of the sun after so long a winter and the knight was so enthralled to be her morningstar. His own chest puffed in pride and shared joy. He wasn't lying when he claimed Shinyuu a diamond in the ruff. He truly felt that this foreign little doe was the treasure in the wolf den and he was so very grateful to have stumbled across her. The night had become glorious after all. How much did the eyes of the blind see...? Had Spectre known or was it Fate's happy coincidence?

Alexander laughed heartily at his lady, shaking his head slightly. The man's heart thundered under those porcelain digits. "Nay," he assured with a chuckle and warm grin. "I am merely allowing mine tongue to wag free and spill forth the thoughts that come to mind. If my offered poetics flatter thee then all the better for it, but, my dear, I must confess it tis only the truth as I see it!" The Dacian gentleman winked, shoulders bobbing in mirth. He dared to slide one of his own hands up to caress Shinyuu's delicate fingers where they lay against his own chest. Xander leaned forward ever so slight as he held the peacock-gowned woman close. "Yet, I shall pray if you starve for mine words that my voice ne'er grow hoarse...let me ne'er run out of speech. Let me be able to fulfill thee of thine hunger and if nigh doth thee find yourself sated, let me manage to continue. We immortals have all the time of the world and I am willing," the knight whispered hushedly. His eyes searched the bright blue gaze of his companion, a slight blush tinting his bronze-tanned cheeks for just a minute as he bowed his head. Their foreheads so close, bare breadths between them, they twirled the circuit of their world. Alexander's gentle grin returned then. "You should hear such words more oft, milady," he intoned sincerely.

The man eased back, still holding the other close. "I mean it. All." He nod his head as he swept to a bow on one knee, spinning Shinyuu out from him in proud display before they were to come back to each other.

as for the title= Shinyuu is dressed in a peacock gown and likened to a peacock and Alex has a phoenix/firebird emblazoned on the clasp to his cape[not that you can see it because I just scribbled it lol ] and has been likened to a phoenix before.
as for the fact Shin is referred to in some paragraphs as female and some as male, well Alex doesn't quite know Shinyuu isn't quite female yet so yeah

This is the first time I've ever tried to draw Shinyuu so that was interesting! heh heh Wanted to do something to hopefully give Kristen a smile and Alex was running rampant in my mind anyways so I decided to give this a go Actually came out far more smoothly than I expected it might ha! Amazing when Alex wants to behave how things can work o.O And Shin wasn't as scary as I was intimidated he would be lol! Kristen and her exquisitely drawn curly hair and my ineptness at it! lol! I was actually quite proud though! got it done pretty swiftly and efficiently. Not sure if I dare try to color it or not ....o.O lol!

Yay for my muse getting a bit of a handle back on itself And for listening to YouTube playlists a bajillion times over
