I adore these two so I decided to hop on the redrawing bandwagon This also made me think about the lionesses in Mufasa’s pride, and I realised that it’s actually pretty difficult to tell who is who between different scenes, so I decided to just make them up!

Behind Mufasa and Sarabi, from left to right, we have Diku, Naanda, Sarafina, Kidogo and Puru. I only have small tidbits for their stories so far, so bear with me x’D Diku and Naanda are the sisters of Sarabi. They had a younger sister, Dwala, who unfortunately passed away during cub-hood, and neither of them have had cubs. Kidogo and Puru are characters I decided to make up! They are mates, and between Simba’s birth and Mufasa’s death, Kidogo is impregnated by a male lion (who acts as a kind of donor). When Scar’s reign begins, Kidogo and Puru attempt escape but only Kidogo escapes alive. She gives birth alone, and raises two cubs outside of the pridelands. Kidogo returns later, after Scar’s downfall, and her one of her children agrees to follow. This child later sires/gives birth to Zuri.
