Blue and Green are both names the character has. In the original Japanese games. Zensho manga, and later versions of the pokespe manga, he's Green. In the American versions of the game and the original manga, he's Blue. I grew up with the original games, I choose t cal him by the name I first heard. They are bth officiallysanctionednames, neither is more right tha the other.
The girl is Blue in the Japanese manga, and Green in the english. She's Leaf in the remakes.

Poor Bue, It allways looked he was overlooked and forgotten by Oak. in favor of the protagonist. On the other hand Oak doesn't even remember Red's/Leaf's gender

Yes, in the manga, and only in the original Japanese. When it was officially translated into English the names were swapped because when they released Red and Blue in America, they didn't release Blue so to avoid confusing children they changed Green's name to Blue since that was the game that came out. So yes, his name is originally Green, buuuut in America (and since I am American, I played the English games and was originalyl introduced to him with his english influences) he's Blue. It is all based mostly person to person though, you can call him whatever you want. c:

Nope a nope! :33 I read Pokemon Special too, and it was indeed awesome! But I played the games as a kid too, and the name really stuck with me.
On that note though there' actually more Pokemon manga's than special, and they're also really good. :33

uhhhhhh okayyyy...yeh ive read all of the pokespecial and the black and white one is actually decent....the worst one for me is probably crystal..r/s i ok but r/g/b/y are my faves then emerald, d/p/pt is ok but platina is so full of herself.i have played all the ds ones for pokemon and ive got a load of pokemon on lv 100 and ive already got my perfect pokemon team sorted out for battles on wi-fi and stuff like that
