Excuse the terrible title pun!The idea of this is that Alicorns DON'T ascend from regular ponies- and that Twilight is overcome by the power and goes mad.

An interesting concept, and not without reason. Are the green dark magic/Sombra eyes intetional, becouse it's a cool touch. I also have theory that maybe Celestia turned her into a Alicorn to prevent such aq corruption. I have a story in my head with Sombra being once a student of Celestia(maybe even the very first one), who's mind and soul got corrupted becouse the magical energies in his body were just to strong for him to handle. The princess in my version, made Twilight a Alicorn, as their bodies are more adjusted to such gigantic amounts of power.

Well, both Combra AND Chrysalis use green magic- all ponies magic derives form their colour scheme except those two. I suspect green is perhaps the colour of evil magic in equestria.
