After being questioned a lot of times (even by close friends of mine) if I had gotten implants, and after a LOT of thought on the subject of "should I post something like this?" I thought to myself: why not?Lately this has been a major part of my cosplays and I know not having enough cleavage is a reason many girls end up not cosplaying some characters... and that's just sucky =[

Have you tried binders? Sports bras? Never use any sort of bandages or tape (other than sport's tape, which is MADE to go on skin), because they can cause lots of damage to your spine.
Also try getting some more muscle tone, it might help distract away from your chest if you're going for masculine.

Depends on how larges your bust is. For instance, I'm a D, so if I wear a sports bra, my breast size will reduce to a B.

i actually instead of putting them all three on, took the cups and attached them into each other, that way i can do it with a strapless bra or even silicone bras although that was a lot more work than normal bras. I attached the cups from the first bra, which was the only one i left straps on and kept adding bra pads, silicone pads, and bra cups until they were vavavoom and worked for how i want it to be.Β
when i did another one, i worked from a larger bra that was the cup size i wanted to portray and did it inwards, again sewing and fusing them together so it was my "secret" i found using bra pads from a fabric store to be lifesavers in adding "shelving" that was hidden for the breasts to sit on was easy as you can fold and tack many of them together.

Very, very clever - I'll remember that trick. Saves finding multiple bras that actually fit, saves the discomfort of two sets of wires, and allows a single piece to be packed when transporting a costume. You have hereby made my next Ren Faire outfit that much simpler and more awesome.

LOL that is exactly why i did that! I've found it also helps if you want a bigger bust (that won't create with the bra trick) to order a pair of "Falsies" from like ebay or someplace. pops out the tatas and can also camo the look. i prefer the silicone ones because if you happen to accidentally drop something or (in our wench or royalty dresses) need to check a hem or a shoe for some reason. no one sees the padding if you're showing cleavage. the see the silicone. and you can always explain it away as "straps just don't WORK in this! the sticky cups work MUCH better!" your secret and no one needs to be wiser......

Would not work since the basis of this is the amount of straps and bras you have on to lift everything up.
You'd have to tape your breasts together.

I've had similar problems, it depends on how supportive the costume is, you need something with built in cups to keep up the extra weight, or alternatively booby tape to hold it all together :3
