Description It's FINISHED!!!! :0

Thankies to all those who commented on the WIP to keep me going. xD I keep spotting little things that I want to change but no one's going to notice them anyway right?! The swords were especially annoying to draw (except Delita's because it doesn't have straight lines). Straight lines in painty-ness and tablet is just ...ugh. I wanted to make the wizard all glowy and stuff, but I was having enough issues with the lighting as it is. @_@;

Ramza, Delita, and Algus from Final Fantasy Tactics, along with random knight, archer, and wizard. The Slums of Dorter was the first battle I got stuck in. xD

The thing that gave me trouble in this battle was the archer on top of the tall building. He was free to attack me, but it took a while to get to him.

This is a magnificent piece, I especially like the ambiguity of the lighting. It could be the sky discolored by the fires, it could be sunset, heck, it could be both. The design of the clothes and armor, as well as everyone's hair, is just stellar. I do have a question though, where is the archer? I can't see the archer but, then again, that's probably because of my eyesight. Still, if you feel like doing other FFT pieces, I have ideas for request art with which I believe you'd do masterful work. Please let me know if you're interested and catch you later.

Ah, the archer is in the top left corner behind the mage. I didn't want the extras to get too much attention so he's camouflaged with the background.

If you have ideas are willing to share, I don't mind hearing them. Although, I may alter your ideas to my own liking, I may take a long time (years even) to get into the mood to draw fanart, and if I do get started, I am prone to abandoning pieces before they're finished...or I might not draw it at all. If you're okay with that and still willing to spend the time giving me ideas, then send me a note.

Camoflagued, no wonder I couldn't find him. Well, please let me know if these appeal to you and catch you later.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Ramza+Agrias: I’ve read a few fics based on this pairing and found the idea irresistible. It does make some sense too, since Agrias was with Ramza the longest and trusted him despite his former association with Gafgorian and being a Beoulve. Perhaps a pic of the two of them training would work or maybe a pic of Ramza finding Agrias, alive, after the explosive conclusion of the final battle.

Ramza Vs. Weigraf: Of the Zodiac villains, Weigraf was probably my favorite. It goes to show you, absolute power can corrupt even the noblest intentions. Perhaps, as Ramza suggested, Weigraf could be confronted by his old friends from the Death Crops and facing their condemnation for him selling his soul to Vormav’s mad plots.

Rafa & Malak: Getting Rafa and Malak onto the team is tough, and their value is debatable. However, they do have their uses and their potential for pics. Perhaps, for instance, a pic could be drawn of Malak pushing Rafa out of the path of Barienten’s bullet, and him taking the bullet instead. Or, alternatively, there could be a pic showing Malak’s miraculous resurrection.

Mustadio+Meliadoul: There are more than a few instances where the shortage of character development detracts from an otherwise great game. It sometimes bothered me that Meliadoul never, shall we say, broke down when she realized her surrogate father became a demon. I’ve seen a few fics that explore her ultimate realization that her brother is dead and her father beyond redemption and, in them, Mustadio pulls her back from the brink. Perhaps a pic could be drawn of this, maybe set just before or just after the final battle. Or, you could do an alternate version of War of the Lions’ Gift of the Magi scene with a nervous Mustadio giving the Tynar Rouge to Meliadoul, her putting it one with a coy look and, perhaps, Ramza and Agrias looking on.

Ramza & Orlandu: Orlandu is cool. He kicks major butt, and Ramza obviously thinks highly of him since he was a friend of his father Balbanes Beoulve. Perhaps this could be shown in a camaraderie pic. We could have Ramza and Orlandu conversing about Balbanes or, alternatively, the two of them could be training.

Ramza Vs. Altima: I’ve seen quite a few interesting pics of Altima, the Bloody Angel. Some make him/her/whatever look fearsome and others make Altima look provocative. Regardless, Altima is a fearsome enemy and a battle scene of her against Ramza and some of his comrades would be cool. Or, alternatively, a detailed pic of Alma while possessed by Altima might also be good.

Delita & Ovelia: Delita was one of the few truly complex characters in the game, and definitely the most polarizing. I can’t help but wonder what Ramza would’ve said if he’d heard Delita’s last line “Ramza, what did you get?” Perhaps this could be developed. Perhaps a picture of Delita and Ovelia, after their stabbing one another could be drawn. And, in the sky above, a cut away of Ramza’s head could be looking down on them with a caption detailing his answer to that question. I am willing to aid with the exact wording for the caption.

Beowulf+Ries: Beowulf’s status inducing spells never really worked with me, but Reis’ Bracelet skills were cool. One thought is a pic of the two of them just after Reis’ transformation into a dragon is undone. Or, alternatively, a pic could be done of the two in battle with Beowulf hacking and slashing enemies and Reis frying other foes with her Fire Bracelet skill.

Izlude+Alma: A number of fanfic writers have explored the potential of Izlude and Alma falling in love and, in some cases, Alma causing Izlude to realize that his foster father has been ensnared by evil. This naturally begs the question of what would've happened had Izlude survived. One idea is to draw Izlude, wounded and bleeding in Riovanes Castle, looking upon Alma, either in the flesh or as a ghostly afterimage, and forcing himself to stand. Another idea is to draw the final battle, with Ajora standing over Alma making a killing stroke and Izlude, either alive or as a specter, deflecting the blow while Alma, Meliadoul, and possibly Ramza, look on in astonishment.

Holiness and Heresy: One thing that SO should have been in the game, especially in the opinion of a long time Ramza+Agrias fan like myself, is a scene about how the party reacted to the Germonik Scriptures. Given that St. Ajora was practically the cornerstone of Ivalician theology, learning about his (or her?) true self must been quite a blow to many of the party. One idea is to have a tearful Agrias in Ramza’s embrace with the Germonik Scriptures and the symbol of Ajora’s Faithful (I’m not sure if we see it in the game, so the artist can be creative here) in the shot, perhaps on the ground as if an afterthought. Or, alternatively, you could have Ramza training with a forlorn looking Agrias, blades crossed and chest to chest, with Ramza leaning as if to kiss her.

Now, I don’t expect you to do all of these. That would be unreasonable. I just hope that you’ll look these over, see if any look worth doing and get back to me. Thanks much and catch you later.

For... a lot of these, I need to replay the game again to form a better opinion on the ideas, since it's been a while. I like the Weigraf one best, since the Weigraf battle was definitely a memorable one, but I don't know when I'll be able to draw it. :0

I understand. Don't worry, I can be patient. If you need any help, I can answer questions regarding the events in the game as they pertain to my ideas, look over rough drafts and suggest revisions. And, of course, I'll be delighted to fave, collect and review the finished product. Thanks again and catch you later.

Uh ... I'm PRETTY sure Meliadoul's BIOLOGICAL father was a demon - I know of no surrogate father you might be thinking of. In which case YES, it should've been a lot more emotionally powerful.

FFT's problem was that once Guest characters became regular PMs, they were no longer exempt to the Anyone Can Die rules. I think it's kind of hard to program into a game alternate speeches and the like (for different scenarios, conversations, etc.), and since FFT was originally a side-game made around the same time as FFVII (which would've gotten a LOT more focus), they couldn't really add much potential character development after they join up with you. If you've played 'FFT: The War of the Lions' remake, you should know that there's some extra quests, scenes and sequences which will or at least CAN appear given the right criteria (for instance, Beowulf and Reis' backstory is expanded, and during Chapter 4, Algus returns as a zombie to fight Ramza in revenge, only to get his ass handed to him again).

You seem to be a pretty big FFT fan, given by how many requests you sent this artist. That's pretty cool, too - I'm a major fan of Ivalice-the-FF-world (though I dislike 'Revenant Wings' and haven't cared to play FFTA2, since I don't consider the events of either game to have ever happened for real ...)

Yeah, I've played War of the Lions. In fact, I beat it. I kinda wish they stuck with the original names though, but I just LOVE the Shakespearian styled script. Did any of my idea appeal to you, by chance? I'm just curious. Well, thanks for the reply and catch you later.

Oh yes, it did appeal to me quite a lot. I was just stating my feelings on the matter of the game as a whole, but I can understand the emotive reaction to it. I mean, I can talk about how great a plot twist Teta/Tietra's death was - especially for the direction it took Delita's character - but it'll always be a sad moment as well (and I'll always wish I could bring her back with a Phoenix Down or Raise, though I know it's impossible).

Yeah, I prefer the Shakespearean-styled script, though I'd call it more 'being archaic', as based on the time period and how people would REALLY talk (lot more realistic as a whole). I also love how WELL it's done, as opposed to the bad attempts of, say, FFVI with Cyan (now THAT is embarrassing).

I'm also a fan of 'Vagrant Story' and FFXII (and I'm OK with FFTA), but FFTA2 and FFXII:RW can rot for all I care.

If you still have a PSP, you should, if you've seen the game around, play 'Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together'. It's got a VERY similar style to FFT and was in fact written by the same man (Yasumi Matsuno). Great, GREAT game!

Thanks for the tip on Tactics: Ogre, I'll keep it in mind. Fina Fantasy VI was the first RPG I ever played, and I still love it. I do think it would've made more sense if the other Domans talked like Cyan did, better consistency. Also, if you decide to put any of my ideas to paper, feel free to tag me for assistance. I can advise on things like background, poses and revisions. And, of course, I'll be delighted to fave, collect and review the finished product.

I'm flattered at the request, but I'm sad to say that it probably won't happen.

I'm really an embarrassing artist. I sucked as a child, and I didn't improve at the rate of my peers even though I really used to LOVE drawing and painting things (though maybe I just didn't try hard enough). But I do LOVE to look at gorgeous artwork and the like, especially when it represents things I enjoy. I'm also one of the few people I know who prefers having paintings and canvases decorate my room as opposed to posters.

Maybe I'm just out of practice and would be a somewhat better artist these days if I REALLY tried. It couldn't hurt to try my hand again someday ...
