Description A small, cursorial variety of Drumjaww has recently brought down an Abyss Rhino, splitting its abdomen open with a powerful pair of mantis-shrimp-esque mandibles. Quick to arrive is a hungry Atrox Sapient, primitive flail in hand. While the once widespread Drumjaww have gotten much rarer over recent millennia due to competition with carnivorous sapients and increasingly long winters limiting the algae supply and thus the prey animals they depend on, they still maintain a presence on the algae plains up north. Even extinct varieties still leave an impact, with the near-invincible Jotun (who now have essentially no natural predators) still instinctively checking the landscape for long-gone hunting pairs of fifty-foot Drumjaww. Extant varieties grow no larger than twenty feet and hunt smaller prey but are formidable hunters, the only creatures they fear are the Atrox Sapients. However, this reject is alone, having lost his tribe to a cave-in, and desperate for food. Neither will risk injury, so the scavenging alien ape will simply wait until the Drumjaww is done and feast on the remains.
