It's so similar to a scene where she experiences a near-catatonic Heroic BSOD in my fanfic. It's almost the same, sans the bandages.

I like the stylization in this piece. the almost abstract shape of her wings, and the interplay of the shape of her arms vs. the wings.
I'm not 100% sold on the jagged shading on the face (especially the chin). I feel like there's not enough unity in shading styles for my preference (smooth lines on the wings, jagged on the face, scribbled on the hair), but I think this was a great experiment, and my favorite piece I've seen from you!

I did this picture as as color experiment. I wanted to overall make the picture to have a bluish tint in all of the colors, and I also wanted there to be a distinct color focus on the face. All of her base colors are modified from the show standard, and they are a bit more blue-gray. I also desaturated the colors everywhere except her face and the highlighted part of her hooves. That way the eyes linger there instead of on the much bigger wings and water that I don't want to draw attention to.

I didn't have anything specific in mind. I actually just drew it as a reflection of myself. I was in a really bad mood when I started drawing this, and I feel like Rainbow Dash is a pony who I have strong emotional connection with as a character. So I expressed that through her.

It's a good style, but seeing Rainbow Dash crying is too weird D: It scares and worries me! Other than that, it looks good!

This is actually the second time I've drawn RD crying. I think of it as a result of how much pressure she has to always be the best and most impressive flyer and athlete. It's easy to feel like a failure when people expect so much of you.
