In school we just used the chalk pastels so i was kinda wondering about other ways to color using pastels. When you inked it what specifially did you use?

It will be about two or more weeks before the pub can view it, but I'll start working on it soon, I'm thinking about Link from Zelda.

This is an excellent basics guide; I always forget whether I'm supposed to shade dark or light first. Thanks!

Okay I have a question. I use chalk pastels all the time, and I've tried sealing them with multiple types of fixatives but they all discolor and darken the image. How do you seal artwork?
Thanks in advance.

I don't usually use a fixative actually XD
On a rare occasion I might use a spray-on one.

And your pictures don't get smudged?

I don't move them around much, and as long as I put a piece of paper over it, it doesn't suffer any damage. But it might also be because I use chalk pastel pencils instead of normal chalk pastels.
